Who else here is a frequent shopper who likes to return items? Anyone else guilty like me? Haha.. Here’s some trivia for you: “According to a report by the Financial Times, returned purchases are passed through an average of seven pairs of hands before they are relisted for sale, and the process can cost retailers double or even triple the original shipping charge.” To cut the cost of returns (and to deal with picky shoppers), Artificial Intelligence will be used to offer up suggestions to both shoppers and retailers. “When executed successfully, the former is less likely to pick something which won't fit or look right, and the latter puts its trust in AI to pick the season's most popular items from designers and wholesalers.” They also want to promote what is called 'blended reality', specifically, a blended-reality mirror, or 'magic mirror' is a fitting room AR gadget to help you shop better without actually trying the clothes or accessories on.
This will not only save our time while shopping, but it spares retailers from our need to return items. Win-win, right? And what about you? How often do you return items?
