As you can imagine, how popular Bitcoin is in South Africa that leads to great updates like supporting bitcoin ATMs after the first failed try in 2014. Mati Greenspan, who is an analyst at online trading platform eToro once said that there was a noticeable surge of South African Bitcoin traders on the eToro platform: “In South Africa, the number of new users trading bitcoin through eToro rose by 671% from January to the end of November last year over the same period in 2016, more than the 574% overall growth” This chart shows how much the growth of South-african bitcoin traders in the eToro platform compared to the number of traders in Brazil and Czech Republic The last news about adopting bitcoin ATMs will help to enlarge the crypto community in South Africa as it shows that the government want to control the crypto use in the country. In last December the South African Revenue Service (SARS) said it was in discussions with a number of technology companies to enable it to track cryptocurrency trades more efficiently so we expect more news before the release of the first ATM.

I was very surprised to learn that South Africa is starting to deploy Bitcoin ATM. This is the best news in June. Maybe this is the reason why bitcoin prices increased in today

South Africa, in which crypto currency is very popular among citizens, will receive its first bitcoin-ATM. It is worth noting that 14 years ago, a crypto cash machine was already installed in South Africa, but after some time after installation, the ATM was dismantled, as it was not in demand by residents. Now South Africa is the leader among the countries of the continent in the field of taxation of virtual currencies. A spokesman for Northwood Spar, who will install ATM, said that now is the time to install it in South Africa, since the crypto currency at the peak of popularity in this country

Africans have long used bitcoin as a real means of payment and the existence of bitcoin ATMs will make it easier for people to make bitcoin shipments. In Thailand, Indonesia and some other developing countries there is also ATM bitcoin and bitcoin usage as a real means of payment is evidence that bitcoin has been trusted by the public at large.

South Africa has total 4 Bitcoin ATM machine. I have an information.
Johannesburg 1 ATM
Nelspruit 1 ATM
Pretoria 2 ATM
Is it true?
Nope, this is not true. Back in 2014 there were one but back then not many people even knew about Bitcoin. I think this time around it will be a whole new ball game. I for one cannot wait.

This is indeed a good news. If more and more countries engage in the market of crypto currency, then this will act like a means for the market to grow more, attract more investors and will improve the market furthermore. This is also a sign that crypto will replace tangible currency soon.

I strongly agreed to what you said because Africa country implementing bitcoin ATM will beef up others Europe, Asian, oceania and south america countries which are still ignorant about the potential of bitcoin.

reading that article and apparently South Africa has a good purpose from installed bitcoin ATM that they want to increase the popularity and cryptocurrencies users in that country and i think this is good effort from them while many countries does not like the popularity of cryptocurrencies but they open their mind to accept crypto
Typically if this bitcoin atm will be implemented with other countries, this will bring huge potentials for the demand of bitcoin to increase. These current era of cryptocurrency doesn't seem to be popular since those countries who still don't have proper knowledge how the system really works. With the help of its community to promote through atm, no wonder every people appreciates the usefulness of bitcoin.
