Seems I can't find but I'll ask: Is it possible to report moderator to close some threads instead of deleting?
Mods delete the threads which repeat the same thing again and again. They would lock the thread and not thrash it, if it has useful answers. Simple as that. It can take a while to get a response but I suppose that is how it works.

It turned into idiots writing the same stupid suggestions over and over, not even realizing that the OP had long gone away. This was in 2016, and I'm confident the problem started around the time of the first signature campaign. Mods are pretty slow about locking topics, and it's good that they're not quick to shut things down, but damn....
