We want to extend a huge thank you to John Borthwick and the team at Betaworks for hosting Blockchain x Mainstream at the gorgeous new Betaworks Studios space in New York last week.
OST’s Chief Blockchain Strategist Ben Bollen presented the opportunities and challenges for mainstream adoption of Blockchain through a case study on OST partner, Unsplash, the world’s largest utility for high-quality photography with 6 billion monthly photo views, 700 million monthly API calls, and 450 million monthly photo downloads.
Unsplash is working with OST to tokenize their business and create a decentralized demand-driven economy for photography.

Preeti Varathan from Quartz News moderated a spirited panel with Mark Bonchek, Chief Epiphany Officer of Shift Thinking and advisor to numerous CMO’s major brands, on the benefits of tokenization for mainstream businesses.

Looking back at a very successful first Blockchain x Mainstream event, we can’t wait to do more of these workshops in cities all over the world. We’re also looking to incorporate technical deep-dives into break-out sessions at future workshops, as that was a big ask from the audience.

Guys, I beg you to notice one truth. A year or a half ago everything (regulators, the government) said that this is a bubble and it will soon burst and did not give it any importance, but look what happens now, no one speaks those words. Bitcoin is still a very small child, which grows very fast and develops, we are at the very beginning of his journey!

We are also seeing the development in the blockchain technology also. This is one kind of development.
