I find ice has at least a 30% advantage most days, sometimes up to 50% more. It has never been less than suprnova though

Thanks for this. It hasn't been 24h since I switched from (edited) to icemining and I'm already about 20% up compared to what I've been doing all week. Wish I had tested it myself sooner but I only have a small rig!

I’ve played with the other pools and I can tell you your stratum config is far superior in stability/vardiff timing than the others.


Can't even get my GPU farms to mine on some pools...not sure why people are even bothering with anything but icemining.

A few worthy recent Updates on why you may want to mine at icemining:

TL;DR: if icemining is not on your radar, it should be!


- First non-dev pool to bring Merit
- First pool to have URX (old coin not pool-able until now)
- First icemining branding pool miner (non-wallet miner) for URX
- Maybe first pool outside China + first yiimp pool to bring BCD. BTW its about double anything else at the moment profit wise!

Pretty sure the threshold is 1 RVN.

Yes all you have to do is have the wallet in the command line in your BAT file.

You also use the wallet address to check your miner stats/rewards on the Pool.

Thanks, would you have any particular recommendations for mining RVN on this pool, like manually setting difficulty or any other command line settings?..

Also I was just using my Bittrex address for payouts, so I would in fact prefer to increase the payout threshold (so as not to cause issues with the exchange with too many deposits, etc.)

I don't think I did anything pool specific. I did ad something based on the avermore devs recommendation. Can't remember what it was atm, I'm not near my rig.

I don't think you can adjust the payout threshold, you could always check out their discord and ask.

I do know that you shouldn't be mining to your exchange wallet, you'd be better off downloading the wallet. Or I guess finding a pool that does allow you to change the threshold, not sure if any do.

All,

Couple of significant development updates!

1. We have replaced the clunky API with a modernized ultra fast API. /api/currencies so far, the remaining "legacy api" routes will be added over the next few days.

2. icemining.ca is now using a new reward model we developed called DPPLNS. Its similar to PPLNS with a few improvements.

This will yield better rewards than all other yiimp-based pools. Better than solo mining -- same rewards, but without the high variance and risk.
