Hey there,

As im pretty new to the whole bitcoin pool mining thing, i need a bit of help with the poclbm miner.
I had a hard time to even get this thing running, as i had nearly no idea of how the pool mining itself works Smiley

For the understanding i got a GeForce 8800 GTS and just a dual-core AMD cpu - so i thought the GPU miner would work better, now i got everything set up and I'm just getting around 10500-11500 khash/s... anyone got an idea on how to improve this? I tried out a few things with the command setting but I'm not really into that whole thing, i really got no idea what I'm actually doing -.- ^^

Help appreciated, thanks in advance,

Simon

In gpu miner in Extra flags u can enter -v -w128 -f1.....
But with 8800GTS u cant expect much. no CUDA, its seems worst than my 9400GT in mining.
If u r adventures, try overclocking with MSI Afterburner.
Increase core clk until system freezes then reduce 10MHZ &  fix with it.
Also REDUCE mem clk while mining & watch where u get max & where u get minimum hashing. At max hash fix it.
Reducing mem clk reduces TEMP, so u can run fan slower, if u want & i prefer 100% fan, don't want to fire my card by mistake.
