Nobody knows what will happen in the future and what will be the market of crypto currency in such a long period. Personally, I believe that the crypto-currencies and their technologies will develop, but all projects and coins will withstand competition.

Well 5 years is not a long time. Let's make it 15 years, then my thought would be that much less alts will remain until that time. I believe BTC, ETH and some top-10 coin will stay until that but many low market coins now will melt away.

Looking at the market cap of the top altcoins now and I think they can really go beyond 5years but not everyone will succeed on this challenges. But since cryptocurrency are slowly adopted by many countries I believe many altcoins will come to replace those who will failed in this market.

Altcoins shouldn't be generalized. Coins like Ethereum, XRP, litecoin, EOS, DASH etc gmhabe already attained a degree of stability and sustained growth.

I think that there are some altcoins that can last for five years with the likes of ethereum and litecoin being on that list, then again, there are alot of altcoins that will not. So many of the altcoins that we are seeing now are scams anyways so once the people behind them get the money that they are looking for, most of these projects will crash out before the next five years.

Depending on which Altcoins you buy ,invest your savings . If it's Bitcoin and Ethereum, then I think you should not worry . Prices will only grow . But many bitcoin and Ethereum Can also simply disappear .

I am one hundred percent positive that the altcoins will be around not only the next 5 years, but the next 50 years. Yes a lot of them will die, but this will be because of the high level of competition.
