I totally agree with you mate. Those altcoins that has real purpose and value will be the one to continue exist and all those that just created to earn instant profit without strong value and product or services will vanish. Despite of the negative market situation, different ICOs are still being released in the market at this moment so it is not impossible for ICOs to still do exist in the future as well as other altcoins.  There might be a bigger future for altcoins and the only problem is lack of assurance that it wouls be so for now, be cautious with the bright future of the cryptos and be patient on negative market behaviors in order to not make unnecessary actions.

Well personally, I believe crypto will last more than most of us expected. But I can't say what years it will be, but surely it won't crash (end) easily. You know why? Cause there are thousands if not millions of people supporting, backing and believe in it. Some even sell their houses and quit their jobs to invest fully in it. I think 5 years is too much for holding a particular coin but anyway your decision is all that matter so maybe if you still trust your coin and if you think that it has still a good potential then go for it but I must say that only good coins can survive after 5 years from now on.

long answer - as the market still got long way to grow. crypto market having a very big potential. we dont know which coin will persist for the next 5 years, we dont know what coin will come out in future. however, no matter what coin still in market for the next 5 years, the market will persist.

I think the opposite. After 5 years, most Altcoins will die and few will survive. Most of them are rubbish and are created only to enrich their owners. I think that they will not survive the next bear market.

Alts can last for a long period of time especially those alts that has a good purpose because usually those coins really needs to be in the market for a long period of time due to the roadmap they will be going to be successful once the roadmap achieve and those roadmap usually took a couple of years after the ICO.

Yes. I think alternate coin will last as long as bitcoin still exist. I don't see any reason why would altcoin be dead in 5 years. For the coins you were hodling, make sure it was in at least top 50 to make sure that it will survive in the next 5 years. Don't invest on bottom dweller coins if you were planning to hodl for that long. Find a coin at the upper tier to minimize the risk of the coin dying.

You are right I think the same, because there are real use cases and I think that some cryptocurrency will implement and used more in our daily lifes.
