I agree, there are also many people making speculations just for the sake of it. Without much research on the market they would suggest some numbers without strong evidence to back them up.

I agree, there are also many people making speculations just for the sake of it. Without much research on the market they would suggest some numbers without strong evidence to back them up.

Most of the cryoto people are not experts in technical analysis they just investing based on their assumption so we need to research for our prediction but actually no one knows the exact predictions.I hope now the price of bitcoin starts to recover so I will s suggest the people to invest now.

I think that bitcoin has not yet started to grow. But the fact that he stopped falling that's for sure. We're at the bottom of this. I'm not sure we'll start with him very soon. Nice post, this is how I’d like it to play out. Even getting above $8,000 would feel pretty good now. To be honest I’d be pretty happy to just get & stay above $10,000 by the end of 2018.

If it's a proper bubble pop then yes, the real pain hasn't arrived yet, let alone the indifference that comes afterwards. People are still ready to declare 'this is it' with the slightest twitch upwards. That's not the general attitude you'd observe if it had all played out completely.

Yeah well I suppose we win either way, if it’s a breather then we rally again & our coins are worth a lot more once again.
If it nosedives then we load up on cheap coins in the $1000 range. Almost guaranteed future profits if we buy down in those areas.

this is more than a 70% drop. i would say it is a lot more than a proper bubble pop.

in any case there is a lot of reasons for this to be the end. the >70% drop for starters. then the fact that $6000 has been proven to be a very strong buy support and we have seen (3 times) that there is a huge incentive to buy bitcoin whenever price goes below that mark which pushes it back up.
and finally the fact that people believe that $6k is like THE price where mining stops being profitable. it doesn't matter if it is right or wrong as long as speculations are based on it.

This year I've seen a handful of mentions of mining profitability versus countless thousands of panics about exchange related stuff. It simply doesn't cross the average mind and there's no need to either. It'll take care of itself. And miners do not court publicity and the media does not report anything about it either.

Those predictions are worthless, they are just based on past performance and are made to manipulate the market a bit. There's almost no chance that we'll see a new ATH this year, and there's moderate to low chance that we'll have a trend reversal in this year. Bitcoin was growing for two years without any bear markets, so now is the time to cool off. Traders are scared to buy now because they aren't sure that this is the bottom, and it will take a long time to build confidence for a new rally.
