If China really invested in a certain market, I believe in the short term it will grow very well. But in the long run, many factors need to be taken into consideration, because investors are the first to influence their decisions and certainly Chinese investors understand this.

I'm Southeast Asian and that's quite distinct from China, or even East Asia, definitely different from South Asia. That's sort of my disclaimer as what I'm about to share here is findings on "Asian" Bitcoin or crypto investors (but they really just mean Far East Asia, in my opinion).

In May, at the NY Blockchain Conference, it emerged that our stereotypes about Asian investors were indeed true, when compared to Western counterparts, and especially so with the way they've treated Bitcoin.

Summary of the findings are that Chinese investors certainly wanted quick money, they didn't believe in long term investments. “Asians love to gamble” is a quote from Jason Fang from Sora Ventures, which makes it even scarier to understand how they view blockchain or even Bitcoin itself.

So yeah, OP, you've got a point. And people really need to sit up and take notice of what they're doing, not just the Chinese.
