1. Protoshares (PTS) - The coin is designed to be held long term since you get a % of any DAC based coin that is released.

Why not create a poll when asking this?

There would be no point in creating a pull

Like many others has said
Quark
Vertcoin
Bitcoin

Can't really think of any other ones really end up being useful. There are some new coins coming out that are promising so list can change.

Why quark? except for the fact that u are using it as your sig. Isn't quark premined to shit?

Bah so tired of FUD. Quark had early high reward blocks. Over 1-2 months a lot of Quark could be mined. Then rewards dropped.  A similar comparison is dogecoin except people mined 6.5% (12BILLION) dogecoin in just 3 days. Imho Dogecoin is about 10x worse than Quark.

A lot of you have been suggesting Digitalcoin DGC.  It's really been getting hammered recently, hasn't it? Why is it still a great bet long term?

CoinO (This is the only coin that has actually some professional marketing behind it + blazingly fast transactions)
PeerCoin
Hobonickels
AnonCoin
Protoshares --> bitshares
Quark

Ethereum is definitely a buy when it's launched, imo.

1. Bitcoin (BTC) - this is still the biggest and most widely adopted; would hold a min of 50% here
2. Litecoin (LTC) - undervalued relative to BTC but has a bright future in terms of adoption than half the altcoins
3. Bitshares (PTS) - interesting concept and gives access to future DACs. Worth looking into.
4. Ripples (XRP) - yeah cut me the centralized crap but this has backing of Silicon Valley (Andreessen Horowitz, Google Ventures, Lightspeed Ventures as well as China-based IDG Capital Partners etc)
5. NameCoin (NMC) - finally does something useful other than being a currency. Hard to mine here but I'd exchange some bitcoins to keep a small stake
6. DogeCoin (DOGE) - yeah yeah, it was based on an Internet meme but really this the only coin apart from BTC that my non-tech savvy wife wouldn't mind using ... it has mass appeal and the mascot is too cute for words.

dvc is in the list for two reasons:
1 people who owns dvc worked hard for it
2 has an ethical attractive, with this market cap it's going to attract enough interest to soar.

Honestly only iCoin can make it into mainstream, apparently they releasing something this week according the ANN, so will have to wait and see. Could be bumped to elite status very quickly and the best buy opportunity since bitcoin.

It's the one I am backing for longterm, I am sure my signature gives it away too.
