Which hardware wallet you use and why?

Hi guys, I am quite new in crypto, but I think time has come for me to get myself a hardware wallet.

I wanted to gather some crowd intelligence on what hardware wallets you guys use? What made you choose that particular one? Which feature is your favorite one and which one most handy? I invest into Icos most of my cash, so question is, can you add custom token into any of hardware wallets?

I am kinda leaning towards Ledger Nano S. Not sure why, I guess maybe because I keep hearing about it everywhere...

I would really appreciate your insights (and am sure others would too).

One wallet multiple coins.

Which feature is your favorite one and which one most handy?

No sure however the whole thing works fine for me, no complain.

Can you add custom token into any of hardware wallets?

I'm using Ledger Nano S. Before when I was looking for a hardware wallet, I did the same thing of reading thoughts of the community and that's the most recommended hardware so I purchased it.

So far so good and every time there's an firmware update, it's easy to do it.

If those ICO tokens are ERC20 then yes.

I agree that Ledger Nano S is awesome for cold storage. I have one and I'm happy also with that fact that you can accesses not only to your wallet on MEW or something like it, but on DEX's like IDEX and many others, and has its own extension for google chrome.

Also think about Trezor model T. It has awesome feature with different wallets for different pin-codes. Of course if you are afraid of getting fiscally robbed

there is no wallet that can protect you from bitcoin collider or any brute force approach. coins are stored on the blockchain, not in the wallet lol. using HW wallet you just adding another entry point thro HW's firmware

all current hardware having their own flaws + there is plenty of attention for these companies so more new exploits will come

imo safest place would be any insured storage, after standard stable bitcoin core

I use the Ledger Nano S because it has a huge amount of supported coins.
It is secure, open-source and the shipping was also free

Ledger is going to release a dank standalone wallet app[1] in a week (July 9th) and a mobile app in a few months.

This plus the amount of coin supported (and a roadmap[2] full of new coins getting added every month) made my purchase my first hardware wallet.

Ok, will have to research this further and see if nano s release have helped, see what experience people have with it. Never realized HW wallets are so vulnerable 🤔 so you’re saying that even though you have HW wallet, coins are stored on blockchain? I thought after sending to wallet they are stored there 😲 so I guess it makes no sense to get one then...

Also wanted to thank you for all your answers, I kind of had a feeling that Nano S is more used and popular option. If I end up getting one, it’ll definitely be it. I particularly like the funcion that you can connect to IDEX (thanks for info DenCho?) and that you can add erc20 tokens 👍 thank you again for your answers and time, you are awesome 👏
