This Upgrade will be a hardfork, which simply means that software upgrades are mandatory. (No new coin will be created.)
new PoW algo: Equihash-BTG
prevents current ASICs from mining
improved DAA
better response to hashrate swings
These changes are already successful on our testnet. We and our Partners are finalizing the necessary upgrades to related software and preparing for the mainnet upgrade, scheduled for block height (536200), which be ready at 03-07.
I think we can expect a rise in price.
