Not much. That is for sure. What is weird is that even if someone wanted to sell their 4000 BTC, they could have done that during a period of few days, they would hurt Bitcoin less and also earn more money from their BTC.

This is what happens when members and media post too much FUD, and weak hands panic.

If you had 4000 BTC I assume you'd be an old hand at dealing with the endless panic.

Even if they were an old hand, you have to remember that doesn't necessarily make you terribly wise... a lot of kids in their late teens/early 20's probably mined thousands of coins a few years ago.  Just because they got lucky and heard about bitcoin very early, doesn't mean they necessarily know wtf they're doing.  It just means they were in the right place at the right time.

After looking over the charts I believe it was one seller who sold 12000+ coins and then a few panic sellers who sold the remaining coins. No doubt this was a major "fire sale" and some people did really well, including the seller of the 12000 (most probably stolen from gox) coins.

Around 4-5am EST the price dropped for an instant, i'd say around 5-530am EST it was closer to 450-500 USD and then slowly crept up to 600+

Bots ppl...trading bots....

Yes, one person here got it right. Bots, likely with stop loss settings turned on, coupled with a large sell off, began a chain reaction. As the price dipped low enough, all the bots frantically sold into it. That's why it's generally a bad idea to use stop loss in this market, it gets traders into trouble more often than not.

Night gathers, and now my bitcoinwisdom watch begins.
