System error in double Merit submissions

In some commentaries, I think I double-clicked it, because I heard words like go twice.

When you send Merit to any person, You are directed to the page where your incoming and outgoing Merits are displayed, and you are warned with a bold and big note that your submission is successful. When you refresh this page ; System will be sending a second submission to the same person. Everyone be careful.

Interesting, this problem persisted in the beginning, I also experienced something similar, but it was when I use the "back" button.
 As far as I know this was fixed and I personally tried a few times the back button again with no issues. Idk about the refresh I'll try it as soon as I find someone deserving merit

Yeah, this has been known for quite a while now. Refreshing the page causes you to "double spend" the sMerit which has since been fixed I believe. I haven't tried it myself so don't know the ins/outs. However, a few people claimed that double clicking the send button resulted in it sending it twice here

Yeah, it has happened to me, and I foolishly refreshed the page twice I believe, meaning I sent 3 merits instead of one. I don't regret it that much, but just want to confirm that this is possible.

Its almost 6 months now that the merit system has been introduced, and people are aware of it now. There are more threads stating the same, you can lock this now.

Honestly, I did experience like that but not in bitcointalk when you send merit or involving bitcointalk.org. Base on what I experience it is a bit similar to what you had experienced. You did send merit and sent successfully right? but after the merit sent, you refresh the page and then it send merit to the same person.
My explanation below might be happening/the issue in your experience.

TASK=Going to merit USER A

You are directed to the page where your incoming and outgoing Merits are displayed,

Click
TASK= SENDING MERIT TO USER A

submission is successful

(SAVED) LAST TASK= SENDING MERIT TO USER A

submission is successful

REFRESHING THE PAGE
It will repeat the last task you made which the last task you did was sending merit to user A.
TASK= SENDING MERIT TO USER A

submission is successful

Unless after you submit but you did not refresh the page then double submission won't happen.
There is a possibility that double submission did happen when you refresh the page. Sometimes while sending and then you refresh, it will resubmit what you did in the first place.

I already experienced this one on the past day. I don't know why but the only reason I think I reload the after sending merit.

I don't know if this a bug or normal because ever since I got sMerit after sending merit the page won't ask to reload again which I did on the past day.

I don't know if it is a bug or not but all I can share is once you press send button avoid refreshing/reloading the page instead you access another url to leave the last page you access. When refreshing after a command (commands example: SEND/SENDING or SUBMIT, STOP,) will re-issue the command that leads to new submission.
