What Motivates you to Invest in Cryptocurrency?

Honestly, many people seek cryptocurrency more because of its volatility. Whether they do it consciously or not, they wish to make large money quickly. This can happen only with a volatile market. Further, we find a lot of newbies even in this forum feeling bad that they lost money or they could not make money as value of BTC has not risen much especially with the expectations being high after the 2017 last quarter. Seeking such profits is not bad but before investing I feel there is a need to prioritize the needs that could be fulfilled with such an investment as BTC especially if you are looking to make money soon rather than keep BTC as a long term investment.

This very motivation and idea behind the investment will speak volumes on the reaction of the investors once the market is down. Strangely, many people do not sell when the market price is high and even when their purpose of investment will get fulfilled. They wait for the price to soar even higher. And if the value starts trickling down, they still hodl and wait for the price to move beyond the point where it had last peaked high. But again, when the market is in a steep downfall, instead of buying, many people will start panic selling and end up in loses. Many a time we find this even in the new threads and discussions even within our forum.

So what it is that makes you invest in crypto? Is it because it caught your fancy? Is it the volatility? Is it because there is a need to fulfil in your life? IS it because you are a day-trader? Or is it fun?

Personally, the blockchain technology has unlimited use for security into transactions and it may shape the modern transaction of payments in the future once countries start to accept the legalization of bitcoin. What makes bitcoin distinct from fiat is the blockchain technology that is powered under the current platform as it provides SECURITY and TRUST among its users compared to our current system of payment (which revolves around an agent or an intermediary).

In an investment perspective, bitcoin's volatile price makes it the perfect vessel for either short or long-term investment depending upon the circumstances happening in the market. There are a lot of cases wherein its price skyrocketed 1-2 months after they purchased at the date. Depending upon the goal of an investor, he/she has the potential of yielding large amounts of profit in a relatively shorter amount of time compared to other investment mechanisms present in our current world.

Like everyone else, I'm in Crypto for two major things, To make money and benefit from the innovative technology. (Making money is actually one of the perks for being an investor of blockchain any way). So I was drawn to Cryptocurrencies for those two major reasons. No one in this volatile market of crypto do make investment just for the sake of fun.I would rather believe that most people on here do have the same motive why we are here which is "MONEY" or profits where we can able to achieve a financial free life we do wish for.I do strongly believe on that thing and comparing to those who believe on crypto tech then i would say it would be less but in general means this innovation do really gives convenience on our daily lives at the same time it do have money making opportunity.

That volatility makes me curious and hope by investing in it I will get more profits in the next few years. When I first discovered bitcoin, it cost under $ 500. What if I invest in bitcoin at that time. Unfortunately, I am not! Now, I don't want to miss such good opportunity again.

Bitcoin was not made for that.
It is just that they already thought it could be something like an investment.
If it is their lost then it is their fault for withdrawal in an early stage. Bitcoin will be more valuable but it has to wait.

It is OK to believe in Crypto but I do not think it will replace fiat ever. Fluctuation is the nature of crypto, this is the main reason why crypto cant replace fiat. But if you do not care about the fluctuations then how will you make profit? HODL till the time is come? No specific target of profit or how long you'll hold?

It is OK to believe in Crypto but I do not think it will replace fiat ever. Fluctuation is the nature of crypto, this is the main reason why crypto cant replace fiat. But if you do not care about the fluctuations then how will you make profit? HODL till the time is come? No specific target of profit or how long you'll hold?

Govs will never let that happen . Unless they are the ones in full control of the crypto market then don't dream of it. However , there's no doubt that crypto still has a long way to go as assets and securities , this is only the beginning of something big. That's why i chose to enter this word . It's full of opportunities and it really helped me get out of a tough spot in my life.

Probably what motivates me the most is money, but also i invest in cryptocurrency because i think it is the future and because after knowing and learning more about it and what it was created for and how fiat is corrupted and has no value only because governments said it does because they have the power, i loved it even more and i really want it to be what people use in the future, and also because it brings people all over the world closer than ever and makes transactions overseas that would take days weeks or even months to be instant.
