thank you for posting this mate. just always be vigilant when filling up especially on airdrops, there are lot of fake sites that using key logger that saves your details especially on your private key. just always careful and save your private key. better to install and additional security like metamask.

You can consider every mail you get making you register as a valid receiver of their promotion as a phishing scam. Considering you don't remember anything about signing-up for any of their newsletters.

Just ignore it.

It looks so suspicious in my opinion. But you can try to get or ask the eos team in their telegram group about that. If that was a scam email and they can create an awareness announcement to the eos holders.
You should not click anything because it's too risky if the link will redirect you to the malware or keylogger.

Do not act stupid, he only gives important information. I think it is very useful to prevent victims.
you should be grateful because you might be deceived.

Yes, there are too many scam emails I have received and we can't stop it. My personal opinion is don't give your private keys, KYC documents and your personal informations to anywhere. Look twice the links on the address bar. Make bookmarks of special websites. Be safe guys.

Don't be so gullible that you will receive something for joining not an airdrop or any of their event.

Don't log in with any details from your MEW so that you won't be phished by those scammers. Report this to the EOS developer/community so that they can also warn the rest.

That is risky, don't just click if someone send you like phishing link or site because there's possible that hacking your account or steal your funds. And one thing it is dangerous that you put these kind of link because anyone can click that site.

that's why do not click any links if you do not know the source, it's better to ask and wait for the official announcement from the team or its developer.

please edit the phishing link like this, so it can not be clicked and will not take another victim.

Code:
this is the link that they want you to filled up
https://tronplay.network/tron/?airdrop=4546ef799&email

this is the fake MEW
https://xn--mytherwalet-srb35c.com

thank you for your information and warnings.

Thanks for the information. Looks like I've also received the same email like you and well, it's really asking for your private key. I don't know where it came from and even it doesn't go into spam but inbox, I think phishing usually goes into spam but this is not.

EOS authority is actually a Block Producer for EOS. So firstly, this email is not from EOS, but from someone trying to imitate as EOSauthority.

Secondly, did you register for some kind of notifications on EOSuthority site? If no, then that's a big issue on how this email reached you. Perhaps you are active on EOS Telegram and they sent you an email via your Telegram username+gmail.com.

Actually, there is so much competition between these block producers, that it could be a mud smearing campaign to tarnish the reputation of EOS authority as a block producer. Better post about it in EOS telegram.  https://t.me/EOSproject

First I like to thank you because your post make me check twice if I get link from another, phising really bad. Second is I already do some thing that help me to protect my wallet. Such as, never share device with other people. Always check new friend in social media & telegram channel because from there many link send to me. Read email carefully because sometimes they send picture/ link that can stolen my data. That's it and I hope my wallet always safe.

Thank you for sharing important information. Many people receiving phishing emails lose vigilance and then can lose all their savings, to prevent such troubles, it is necessary to share such information and be careful, and of course use all the systems to protect their data.
