I appreciate what @DarkStar_ has given towards this thread and making me feel like a Merit Source. I have distributed it evenly towards who really deserves it and add to the posts I included here (the ones that I haven't given when I still have no merit). Maybe or maybe not I would become, but rest assured that majority of the merit earnings that I will get are going to be given to the Philippines Local Board.

If only more source can dump him/her some merits for sure @theyoung will flood our local board with merit to those who are deserving, I trust his/her judgment on quality posting as well crwth.

I think a lot of the merits that @theyoung has have been given in our Local board. Majority of it, that's why he is one of the highest givers in it. It's great that he is silently giving to the ones who are deserving.

I will support you until you become a merit source Philippine(Pilipinas) Local board has no merit sources but only the moderators which is they don't really send merit to a good quality posts who deserves it.  

I can't completely say that you're wrong but every person has their own views on what is deserving or not. I think they are just silently watching every post that there is and of course, they are moderating. I suggest that everyone just post what they know and avoid repeating the same context on a topic, over and over again. Eventually, those who are deserving would be given merits.

We Support you to become a merit source, not just because you are our fellow countrymen you have helped a lot of people in our local board especially newbies who are having a hard time understanding the rules and regulations of this forum.

Little by little, there would be more people active in the board, hopefully not alts. -.- Rules and regulations should be strictly followed, and it wouldn't be so hard because there are a lot of people who are willing to help those who are confused. Especially if you joined the Discord Chat or Telegram Group that consists of a lot of members.

Upon visiting there and seeing this post, the Philippines Local Board didn't even include on local merit stat made by @DdmrDdmr.  The reason could be merit source there was inactive for a while and it could be there's an alternative one.

Looking forward to this application or admin could appoint someone else.

I figure the stat you reference may not display an entry for the Philippines, since over the last two weeks it has received 0 and 1 merit respectively:

The Philippines Local board doesn't have much trend now a days compared before. I created a thread there before but didn't have replies that much and later on the thread is now buried. It may be because we will know the news or updates even if we don't check the ann thread since many Filipinos are using it to cash out, cash in, trading and storing their money either in crypto or in fiat. I would also like to support crwth as one of the merit source.

It's sort of catch 22 -  There is a less merit shared in Phillipines board because people write less, but then again people often write less when its harder to get merit.

I don't know about other local boards, but we don't have anything like that in Croatian board. What we do have is a topic where we can report good posts, and those get the merit if they meet the requirements. So something like this in Reputation board.

I do hope that this can be looked at if it's still possible. I'm still up to the challenge of distributing more merits in the local board section. I do browse it continuously and if I see some merit-worthy posts, merit it is. If this gets granted, I will do my best and I still keep my word with the first post.

Advance Keeping (eto kasi yung narinig kong term nung speaker noon):

• USB storing - Sa isang USB naka store ang keys at password
• Google drive - Sa email naka store
• HDD - Hard drive

Maraming paraan na paniguradong bago pedeng idadag dyan, adyan ang Hardware wallets (ledger for example), yung tinatawag na cryptosteel (Nabangit lang sakin to ng kaibigan before pero di pa ako nakakakita totally) at iba pa.

Advantages:
USB storing at HDD - offline storage, pede mo itago kahit saan mo gusto. For USB, kung hindi makampante pede mo ito dalhin kung nasaan ka man.
Safe kung titignan kasi ikaw lang makakakita o makakahawak, as long as nakatago ng maayos.
Google Drive - Online storage kung titignan, Private email o ikaw lang mismo ang nakakaalam na may email ka nito. (not much of an advantage I guess)

Disadvantage/s:
USB at HDD - Madaling sabi prone, sa sira ang mga eto. Simpleng bagsak lang pede ng ma corrupt ang file o masira mismo ang mga ito.

Sa pagkakataon na gusto nating iretrieve ang mga laman ngunit kulang tayo kaalaman kung papaano, dito pumapasok si risk factor na ipapaayos natin sa iba. Sabihin nating kakilala o kaibigan, pero alam natin pag may perang involve ibang usapan na.

Magamit ang mga ito sa hindi secured na Laptop o Computer (hindi inaasahang pagkakataon) - maaring mapasukan ito ng virus or maaring ma kopya ang lama nito


Google Drive - ang disadvantage ay ang pagiging online, Prone nito sa mga hack at para sakin hindi siya advisable.

Traditional:

Sulat kamay - Nakasulat sa papel, libro, at iba pa.
Safety deposit box - (eto yung last na nabangit) medyo matrabaho (pag mag open ka sa mga banko) at mahal (Kung bibili ka ng personal) pero safe nga naman, kasi at ikaw lang ang makakabukas.

Advantages:
Sulat kamay
- Kung titignan (para sakin) sa paraan na to mas free  sa online hacking.
- Madaling makita at hanapin BASTA nakatago ng maayos (tipong hindi Magagalaw ng asawa o nanay yung sarili nating kalat  )
- Magandang itandem sa safety deposit box, para safe and secured

Disadvantage:
- Kung hindi maigi pagkakatago, maari itong maisantabi at makalimutan lalo na kung ito isang pirasong papel (tulad ng nangyari sa article)
- Mas madaling makopya at maaccess ito ay kung lantaran ang pagkakatabi ng mga ito.

Ang mga nasa taas ay kakaunti pa lamang kumpara sa mga bago ngayon.

Sa aking opinyon:

Ang pag store ng wallet keys or password, ay dapat nga talaga natin pahalagahan. Kung maari mas madami kang pag tataguan o lalagyan (Basta alam mo sa sarili, na ikaw lang ang may alam) mas okay. Hindi naman natin masasabi ang mga mangyayari mga o susunod na mga ara, kaya mas maigi ng sigurado. Wag makuntento na safe na ito, kung maaari safe na safe na safe talaga. 1. Ano ang Lightning Network?

Ang Lightning Network ay isang kahalili sa tradisyunal na on-chain transaksyon sa Bitcoin. 2. Paano gamitin ito?

Upang simulang gamitin ang Lightning Network, kailangan mong gumamit ng isang katugmang software (see Mga wallets at nodes section). Ang bawat wallet ay may iba't ibang proseso ng pag-set up at feature kaya dapat kang tumingin ng isang gabay para sa iyong pagpili.

Ang Payment Channel ay klase ng mga pamamaraan na idinisenyo upang payagan ang mga gumagamit na gumawa ng maraming mga transaksyon sa Bitcoin nang hindi ginagawang lahat ang mga transaksyon sa Bitcoin blockchain. Sa isang tipikal na channel ng pagbabayad, dalawang transaksyon lamang ang naidagdag sa blockchain ngunit  walang limitasyong o halos walang limitasyon ng mga pagbabayad ay maaaring gawin sa pagitan ng mga kasali.

b) Pagpapadala at pagruruta ng mga pagbabayad

Ang magkabilang partido ay nakikipag-ugnayan nang hindi nai-broadcast ang kasalukuyang estado ng kanilang kalakal sa blockchain. Pareho nilang itinatago ang kopya ng impormasyon ng channel. Sa tuwing nai-update ang isang channel, ang mga partido ay pumipirma sa isang transaksyon sa pangako na nag-iingat ng isang tala ng kasalukuyang estado ng channel. Sinisigurado na mayroong sapat na liquidity sapagkat ito ang pinaka mahirap na bagay para sa karamihan sa mga nagsisimula. Kapag binuksan mo ang isang channel sa isang tao, makakuha ka ng kapasidad na papalabas. Mas maraming mga coins na gugugulin  mo, mas marami kang matatanggap. Kung may magbubukas ng isang channel para sa ,yo p makakakuha ka ng kapasidad na pagpasok at makakatanggap ka lamang sa pamamagitan ng channel na iyon maliban kung nakatanggap ka ng higit pang mga coins kaysa sa halaga ng reserba ng channel.

Ang ligtas na pagruruta sa pagbabayad ay hindi posible kung walang Hashed Timelock Contracts (HTLCs). Ang halimbawa sa ibaba ay nagpapaliwanag kung bakit kinakailangan ang mga ito.

1. Si Alice ay magbubukas ng isang channel sa pagbabayad kay Bob, at si Bob ay magbubukas ng isang channel sa pagbabayad kay Charlie.
2. Gusto ni Alice na bumili ng isang bagay mula kay Charlie sa halagang 1000 satoshis.
3. Bumubuo si Charlie ng isang random na numero at bumubuo ng SHA256 hash. Ibinigay ni Charlie ang hash kay Alice.
4. Ginamit ni Alice ang kanyang channel sa pagbabayad kay Bob upang bayaran siya ng 1,000 satoshis, ngunit idinagdag niya ang hash na ibinigay sa kanya ni Charlie sa pagbabayad kasama ang isang l kundisyon: upang makuha ni Bob ang bayad, kailangan niyang ibigay ang data na ginamit upang mabuo ang hash.

Ang mga mobile client ay nagtatag ng mga pribadong channel na hindi nakikilahok sa pagruruta ng pagbabayad.

c) Pagsasara ng channel

Ang mga channel sa pagbabayad ay maaaring isara kung ng pakikipagtulungan man on hindi (puwersahan).

Ang mga channel na hindi nakikipagtulungan sa pagsasara ay maaaring simulan anumang oras. Bagaman, walang katuturan na gawin ito kung ang iba pang node ay online at nakikipagtulungan naman. Bilang default, kailangang maghintay ang isa ng 144 na mga block (~24 na oras) bago magamit ang saradong transaksyon. Ang halaga ay napagpasyahan sa oras ng unang negosasyon sa channel. Tandaan na ang halagang ito ay maaaring maging mas mataas sa ilang mga kaso. Halimbawa, Eclair Mobile ay sini set ang delay sa 2048 blocks (~2 weeks) kung ang isang tao ay magbibigay-daan sa pagtanggap sa LN. Ang pagkaantala ay nagbibigay ng oras sa iba pang partido upang bumalik at mag-online at suriin kung na-publish ang pinakabagong transaksyon. Kung ang ibang partido ay nag-broadcast ng isang lumang transaksyon,  maaari itong bawiin at i-broadcast ulit na galing sa multang transaction sa loob ng pagkaka antala.

Ang mga channel na nakikipag tulungan sa pagsasarao ay maaaring pasimulan lamang kapag ang iba pang partido ay tumutugon. Ang pagsasara ng transaksyon ay maaaring magamit agad kung ang parehong partido ay sumang-ayon sa kasalukuyang estado ng channel.

3. Mga wallets at nodes

May mga iilan lamang na Lightning Network at ang bawat isa sa kanila ay posibleng maglaman ng ilang mga bugs na maaaring may resulta sa pagkawala ng mga pondo. 4. Mga nakaplanong features

• Dual-funded channels - dalawang users sa halip na isa ay pwedeng mag pondo ng isang channel sa pagbabayad tulad ng origihal na inilirawan in the Lightning Network Paper.
• Eltoo - eltoo ay magiging isang alternatibo sa kasalukuyang pamamaraan ng pag-ayos ng mga pagbabayad sa pagitan ng mga gumagamit. Ang mga pag-update sa Channels ay ginagawa sa pamamagitan ng pagbuo ng mga  chain of timelocked transactions. • Channel factories - ang mga umiiral na Lightning Network ang maaaring gamitin sa paglikha ng mga bagong channels na hindi na kinakailangang i broadcast ng alin man sa Bitcoin network. Ang pag-convert ng naka-encrypt na data sa kanyang orihinal na form ay tinatawag na Decryption. Sa pangkalahatan ito ay isang pabalik na proseso ng pag-encrypt. Itong thread na ito ay gagawin ko lang straight forward. Gusto ko lang ishare yung technique na natutunan ko sa isang trader kung paano niya nalalaman yung possible price projections ng isang coins based lamang sa supply at Fully Diluted Market Cap nito. Maari niyo itong gamitin if ever na may makita kayong coins na nasa dip pa or gusto niyong maging holder ng isang coin instead of itrade ito.

Ngayon to better understand kung ano nga ba ang Fully Diluted Market Cap, ito eh nacocompute based lamang sa formula na:
FDMC = Current Price * Max/Total Supply

And kung mapapansin nyo, ang FDMC ay ang overall amount ng isang coin kapag nareach na nito ang kabuuang supply niya.

Then to know kung hanggang saang price possible na tumaas ang isang coin, Here's the formula:
Expected price = Fully Diluted Market Cap/Valuation ÷ Circulating Supply

Sa mga hindi masyadong nakakagets, Bakit nga ba ganyan? Basically kapag ka kinompyut mo ang FDMC, meron ka nang alam kung hanggang saan ang market cap ng isang coin if yung buong coins eh nabili na sa current price. Then idinivide ito sa current circulating supply kasi obviously ayun yung mga coin na tumatakbo ngayon kaya naabot nito ang current price.

Para malaman naman kung ano ang Fully Dilluted Market Cap at Circulating Supply ng isang coin, pwede mo itong tignan sa Coinmarketcap or Coingecko.


Here's an example, let's compute kung hanggang saan nga ba aabot ang price ni $GRT (this is never been a financial advice lol)


POSSIBLE PRICE = 13,867,408,541 / 1,245,666,867

POSSIBLE PRICE = 11.13 USD

Again, this is just a way to project prices based on its total supply. Marami paring pwede magbago. If you would compute BTC, you might have a result of 59k only kahit na umabot na to ng 60k. Gaya nga ng sinabi ko, price projection for future price. Maybe ATH, but some ATH can also be a start another future ATH. Useful ito sa mga IDO and malaking tulong ito para makapagset ng Target Profit. Madami pading ways para malaman ang price ng isang coin, most likely with Trading and Fundamental Analysis. Gusto ko lang magbigay ng mga payo sa mga traders at nagsusubok kumita ng malaki sa crypto.


A. Para sa mga baguhan at nagsusubok kumita dito sa Forum

1. Kung ikaw ay baguhan sa forum na ito ugaliin mong magbasa. Para matuto at maging familiar sa mga terminologies.
Karamihan kasi sa atin gusto kagad mag-rank up and mag-campaign dahil nakakasilaw nga naman ang laki ng kita kapag sobrang taas na ng rank mo.

2. Unawaing maigi ang mga binasa. Kung hindi mo naunawan ang iyong binasa baka ito ay magdulot sa inyo ng false sense of security dahil familiar ka sa topic pero wala kang angkop na kaalaman. (Meron ka ngang impormasyon pero hindi mo ito nai-aapply)

3. Ugaliing i-search sa google kung hindi ka sure sa campaign or feeling mo sketchy yung rates ng campaigns. Suriing mabuting ang campaign na gusto mong salihan. I-background check mo. Tignan mo kung legit ba yung website nila, may mga additional information about sa timeline ng token, may support ba yung campaign at kung may red flags ka na nakita pwede mong i-double check sa https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 kung similar sa mga nandito ang istilo nila.

4. Magpost ng mga kalidad. Naalala ko noong nag-sisimula pa lang ako dito sa forum karamihan sa mga kaibigan at kakilala ko ay nagpopost lang para masabing may napost dahil naghahabol. Magpost ng may sense at relevance sa topic na tinatanong, wag basta basta at bara-bara.

B. Para sa mga naluge sa trade at gustong bumawi

1. Kalkulahin kung magkano ang nalugi. Mahirap balikan at sariwain ang perang nawala na pero ito'y makakatulong para tumatak sa iyong isipan na dapat ito ay hindi na maulit at susubukan mo ulit mabawi ito.

4. Maging positibong ang pananaw sa hinaharap. Ito ang pinakamainam na maiipapayo ko sayo kapatid kung ikaw ay nalugi. Loss is loss pero may mga lesson ka na matutunan along the way. Dapat kang matuto at hindi maglugmok sa sulok. Maghanda sa susunod na pagpapala at tumulong din sa iba.

C. Para sa mga kumikita na at gusto pang dumami ang ipon.

1. Magtabi ng para sa Savings at funds. Magtabi para may maidudukot sa oras ng kagipitan at pangangailangan. Subukan niyong ihawalay ang expenses account at savings para hindi ito kaagad nagagalaw. 2 Bank accounts [1 Savings, 1 Expenses, 1 Emergency Funds*(Optional)]

2. Sulitin or I-enjoy ang mga kinita. Kapag nakapagtabi ka na ng pera mo maipapasok mo din sa gastusin mo ang mga gusto mong gawin or bilhin. Mag-travel, mamili ng mga gadgets, mang-treat ng mga mahal sa buhay. Ang pera babalik lang yan pero yung mga experience at panahon mong magbonding sa mga mahal mo sa buhay, kaibigan or special someone ay mas mahirap palitan.
 
3. Tumulong sa mga nangangailangan.  I-share mo ang iyong blessings, anonymously or intentional as long as ikaw ay nakakatulong sa iba lalo kang pagpapalain. @crwth Actually, it is also related to the thread you included posted by shamm which is how to encrypt a message or text using an encryption. About encryption, it is one of the encryption I mentioned like as asymmetric and symmetric encryption. In that thread by shamm, it is related to asymmetric encryption which needed two keys for encrypting and decrypting. So, I would say that it is merit worthy. I'm sure you will do a good job at being merit source. Also, there are more threads in Philippines local board that is worth merits and also other boards.

You have our fully support crwth, hoping that we have a newly merit source so that our local board is going active again. I know that cabalism13 is doing Great but not such much and I do believe that if you become a Merit source our merit cycle will be up again.

It's sort of catch 22 -  There is a less merit shared in Phillipines board because people write less, but then again people often write less when its harder to get merit.

It's set at the last ~8 months, but you can adjust it as you see fit.

That used to be the case when theymos introduced the Merit system back in 2018, but after I returned from a short hiatus in 2019, I did lower my standards.

If you have troubles finding good posts that don't have enough merit, you might wanna check your board's most merited posts and topics via @DdmrDdmr Merit dashboard, so maybe you can find some good posts that can be used for application. It's set at the last ~8 months, but you can adjust it as you see fit.

Thank you for that suggestion... It helped in adding two more to my list ^{[after I narrowed it down to the past couple of months]}, but it seems that the main issue is the activity on our local board ^{[unfortunately]}.

When I was searching for unmerited post that is worth to send merits but there are merits sent already about 1-10 merits like 1-5 each merit transaction.

If there's no qualified to became a Merit source then we can still cycle our merits if we have an extra time lets go to our local board and look for those worthy Poster and give our sMerit to them.  (No merit source no worry easy as that)

Not really, as theymos clearly said that it you don't have to submit posts without merit, but those that didn't receive enough merit, as seen in the quote below. So there is really no need to complicate this; just find 10 good posts written in the last few months that could have received more merit and that's about it.
