i have error -4 in altminer  Sad

Could you please post the screenshot?

[/img]

you threads are set to high. this mining n-factor tends to require lower threads. try lowering your "thread-concurrency" : "xxxx" in settings.

Do you use the default mine.bat in the gpu miner folder?

is there something wrong with this coin? i was also soloing for a bit and didn't find anything. Even this pool finds 0 blocks while the difficulty is low. Whats up?
I'm finding blocks no problem. I've just been using the VERT miner though

im using vertcoin miner for ALT as is without changing any settings. works fine - found a lot of blocks, although im running at 250khash per r9 290 which is about 50-100 lower than I get when mining vertcoin, probably just have to tweak settings to get the has higher.

There is already a coin named Altcoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=443108.0
Is it so hard to do some research before?

2 Rocketcoins, 2 Pandacoins, 2 Altcoins -.-#

That's ok, two ALTCOIN use different symbols, our symbol is ALT.
That altcoin use SHA256, ours use adaptive N-factor scrypt.
I start the thread to discuss ALTCOIN suggestions a few days ago (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=392853.0), befor SHA 256 ALTCOIN.

Even if the coin is different , there are two coins with the same name ...
And this name is not one so flashy to hang onto it .
