I just read through the news from coinbase blog and it seems they are now offering crypto custody service to the clients including institutional investors. They are also planning to expand the scope of the service to Asia as well.
https://blog.coinbase.com/coinbase-custody-is-officially-open-for-business-182c297d65d9This is the first full scale corporate custodian service offered by a crypto giant in digital asset arena. So we can expect few more funds to flow into the market. However, what I foresee is that, the service is beneficial for large ICOs as they are the primary target client for this service.
Investing corporate funds into crypto space has a lot of legal boundaries. If we want to see big amounts of fresh funds flowing into the market, the legal framework needs to be simplified.
