Delays in transaction -ETH and ERC20

It seems that Ethereum blockchain is being flooded with transactions. The smart contract is the finest advantage but it consumes resources for its processing, that's why such floods often gain the goal. Sharding feature would help a lot to withstand excessive load but, perhaps, it would remain unavailable until migration to PoS consensus completes.

I haven't experienced any delay recently. But if you want to send fast, you have to increase your transaction fee. But if you can wait for a bit longer, you may decrease the transaction fee. I usually use three gwei only. It may take time to send but it will surely be addressed, and it is cheap.

Such problem is not so significant if your volumes are so high and I think you should be more patient because of making losses much lower that they could be.

High cost Transaction fee does come whenever we have clog transaction and this is not the first time this will be happening and won't be the last.  Just that it will definitely affect so many people at the wrong time but i don't see anything we can do about it untill it stables back

They had serious spam attacks in early summer. But it was all temporary and now the number of transactions returned to the previous level (about 85 000 per second)

ETH will continue to have bottlenecks in the future except an update is made to improve the scalability. The transaction fees are almost 2x the value it was a year ago. I think with more dapps and platforms launching on Ethereum's blockchain, amd all of them taking some share of the resources , I think It would only get worse with time.

There has been s much strain on the ethereum network causing an increase in transaction fees and delays in transactions.Why so much delays,my transaction has been stuck for over 6 hours now.

As already suggested in replys above, before initiating your transaction you should check the appropriate GWEI prices from ethgasstation it gives you an approximate timeline under which your transaction will complete. I usually dont go for high/fast GWEI and the medium works well for me. However, when the network is super congested like we saw during cryptokitties days or during ICO of Bancor or status, those are the times I try not to make any transactions as the time it takes even goes for hours and sometimes goes dead and you have to re-initiate your transaction

The main reason behind the higher transaction fee by the ethereum network is probably by the network congestion of ethereum. When many users make transaction in ethereum at the same time. The network fee will gradually increase because it is subjected to be a gas war. If you are in to this, better just wait until the network calms again.

Transmission is a lot of delay right now when you use gas in your Myetherwallet for a little bit more because your gas will cost you more to make a transaction faster.

I've tried to make a transaction wit really low GWEI number, but i think it doesn't take to long until the transaction i've made done.
Perhaps there is some matter that makes the transaction delayed for that long.

You're commenting the thread/topic right now it's already outdated by the fee standart, back then in july the network is so crowded the gas required for transfer is peaking but now the fee is really low
that means the network is at normal condition so your transaction is not going to be delayed that long.

They have found their own ways to fix that problem. So many major altcoins have prepared the scalability proposal to be implemented. It's just the matter of time until all of them will have their own solution to fix their scalability problem and i suggest you to be patience for that but this time ethereum network looks normal
