Companies do not have to go through the rigorous SEC filings to raise capital. this is a very unique way for companies to issue shares and pay dividends to investors in a more efficient manner compared to the traditional IPO.
Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.
