Yes definitely dead. No moon.

Service being held next Tuesday, refreshments served. In lieu of flowers please donate any remaining BTC to the forum.

On a more serious note BTC is still up from 1 year ago. So considering that growth it would be hard to call it dead. You also forget that for BTC to die the community would have to as well. This isn't going to happen; while mass adoption is what will be needed in the future, BTC can survive in a niche form until such a day.

Just look around how many people are using it in exchange for goods and services. People just have to stop looking at it in a sense of buy BTC today, rich with Lambos tomorrow.

why You have to ask this: "Is Bitcoin Dead?". see that the price rose from $ 900 to $ 20,000, if the price had such a high increase that everyone celebrated a lot, then would not it be more natural the price fall a lot? why the hell do not many people think that it is possible and natural the price fall a lot? this is a very volatile market and this is expected to happen. Bitcoin is not dead because there are many people who use it and the fact that the price falls a lot is something normal.

Comparing to last year price in early February, the digital currency bitcoin hit a startling milestone when its price surpassed $1,000 for the first time ever. How in the world can you say that bitcoin is dead when in fact it still gains approximately 600% from last feb. 2017 price? Im not sure if my calculation is correct but doing simple mathematics can show that bitcoin is not dead. What is happening now is just a correction and we might see the next bull run coming.

Just compare every year and ask that question again  Cheesy I was following Bitcoin from like 400$+- and it was year 2016 if i remember correctly . And almost every year there was really big price drops and it recovered . Ok i understand this one is kinda scary from 20k to 6k . What will happen if btc in future reach 100k ? It would possibly drop to 20k-30k and people will ask your question again Smiley

No bitcoin is not dead, bitcoin has a bright future. It never dead. Now the price of bitcoin is very low but dont judge the future with this value. For this year end we have five more months anything can happend in the market. Suddenly the price will go high, but no one cannot predict the market. Currently the price starts to increase hope it will continue in future. If it happens the price of bitcoin will have tremendous growth by the end of this year.

This does not mean anything, it can not always be with such a high price, and if statistics are to be believed, at the end of the year it should beat new high price records.

Oh, how many times Bitcoin predicted death. 2011, 2014 ... and now. Each  To the Moon some people believe in his quick death. But he's still alive! Everything that happens to him now only  a pattern of market but nothing more. Remember the events of 2014, when  Bitcoin was a sharp rise in prices and fall after.  Bitcoin did not grow much in price all 2015, and in 2016 it began to grow again. I think everything is going on now  in the same way and us still expect a lot of Moons.

How can something with so much volume and such a high market cap be 'dead'? It's a bit silly really. Especially considering it's happened like 3 times before already in Bitcoin history.

bitcoin cannot die and will not die. like every other currency market, crypto currency market is a volatile one which is subject to fluctuation, this is a normal factor in all business. To say bitcoin is dead is a false statement that would be proven false over time, patience is key.

Bitcoin is not dead and bitcoin cannot be replaced, as the reporter and articles says that the half of this year, bitcoin will ressurrect, the new says that Bitcoin fell below $6,000 on Friday, but bitcoin bull Brian Kelly told CNBC that the popular cryptocurrency is "not dead."

"This is not the funeral for bitcoin whatsoever," Brian Kelly, founder and CEO of BKCM LLC, an investment firm focused on digital currencies, said on "Fast Money" Friday.

"Let's put this in perspective," he said. "Do you know where we were a year ago? $2,500."

hahaha, yes its dead, please send your dead bitcoins to me. I will give them the proper burial.

on the other hand perhaps bitcoin should be renamed to the Lazarus coin as it has died so many times. 319 times according to the below link.

No, One of the reasons for getting Bitcoin down is because of a lot of hacking, bad news. Bitcoin is above all coins. Without Bitcoin Crypto can not be imagined. In December 2017, Bitcoin has almost 20k. Now it's 6500 I hope it will grow very quickly, just need a little time.

Are you crazy or simply not following the news? Bitcoin is pumping back up now stabilising at around $6500. Soon it will go back above $7k so follow the news before posting FUD

Bitcoin is the king crypto and it has grown so much over the years. For the time being the prices are at a fall and for this you cannot consider it to be dead. Neither it is not dead nor it will be. besides if you follow today's price chart you will figure out that it has already started to grow.

Definitely not. Bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency whre many countries already accepting it as a payment.
Bitcoin price is getting down its because of the market movement.
Hacking reports and other people scam scheme can affect the price downfall yes including how the governments of different countries who want to regulate the cryptocurrency.
but bitcoin will not die.
