I need someone good at studying the block chain to help me identify anything relevant that can help me recover the 3.2btc I accidentally sent to this wallet 15KUecgaW2x4tDwRWfpnMJxq4RRJ5Z7fQN, thinking it was one of my receiving wallets. Turns out it was an address I sent funds to way the hell back in 2011. I'm a moron, I know.

Well, I'm hoping someone with more experience can take a more technical view of the chain and turn up for information than I can interpret.

The lucky person realized the gain (money from heaven) since they already swept the funds into an account that's very active with over 30btc in it. Looks like a business account. If it is, maybe I have a chance to get funds back. As long as we can figure out what business.

Since I haven't sent funds into this wallet since 2011, it took a lot of thought to try and think what it could be and it hit me. It's probably an instawallet (Paymium) address. Believe it or not, I reached out to Boussac and he said he was looking into it and would get back to me. The funds were moved thereafter so I am certainly hoping for good news.

I would certainly offer some of the lost funds as bounty if we can get them back. I would of course offer a nice tip from the direct source for doing the right thing.

See this thread for more info...

Ohh it might be ultra hard.

Because as you know Bitcoin wallets are annonymous.

I dont see any method how possibly you can get it back.

Just find a company over internet with their wallet address and beg Cheesy

How did someone get your address?

Huh

What are you even asking, and how does it apply to this thread?

Because as you know Bitcoin wallets are annonymous.

You mean pseudonymous, right?  Bitcoin doesn't supply anonymity without some effort from the user.

Here's a start, I'll see what else I can figure out tomorrow.

Also noteworthy, the entity that controls all those addresses has received many payments from someone who has been using a vanity address of:
1Mining2pfZRiFxGBQ6Jw8YNheUkHhyMfn

Bitcointalk user "tatsuchan" also received a payment from 1Mining2pfZRiFxGBQ6Jw8YNheUkHhyMfn as recently as 2012-02-29 in the following transaction:
https://blockchain.info/tx/5d71d1cc5e70754fadd659108628261a167e5b4bbe77529642f6dd3958216605

Bitcointalk user "digital" also received a payment from 1Mining2pfZRiFxGBQ6Jw8YNheUkHhyMfn as recently as 2012-02-29 in the following transaction:
https://blockchain.info/tx/00d95b909283f20e108b25717f6a943227f04042f83ed83a847366bd75d46b3d

Bitcointalk user "bigb159" also received a payment from 1Mining2pfZRiFxGBQ6Jw8YNheUkHhyMfn as recently as 2012-02-28 in the following transaction:
https://blockchain.info/tx/1e4bad67ada0c175db306c19401069aba6dae9348e329cd473843d7a9d182fb6

Bitcointalk user "BrimStone" also received a payment from 1Mining2pfZRiFxGBQ6Jw8YNheUkHhyMfn as recently as 2012-02-28 in the following transaction:
https://blockchain.info/tx/c83ac283f35bc18486e293f4fe2b69c4962de046bc3ae9b4add24bb9a25a0bbf

Perhaps tatsuchan, digital, bigb159, or BrimSton can tell you who is using the address of 1Mining2pfZRiFxGBQ6Jw8YNheUkHhyMfn, and if so, then perhaps that person can tell you who controls the address 15KUecgaW2x4tDwRWfpnMJxq4RRJ5Z7fQN
