Effect.AI Rejects Amazon Partnership… WTF?!?

Effect.AI is an Amsterdam based company that is working on a blockchain-powered, decentralized platform for Artificial Intelligence development and AI related services. The beta for Effect Force, Effect's new decentralized mechanical turk platform has recently gone live and plans to offer a trust free, cost efficient alternative to Amazon's own mechanical turk platform.

In a recent interview with Crypto Love, CEO Chris Dawe explains why they rejected Amazon's partnership offer and how they think they can take over a good percentage of Amazon's business.

What do you guys think of this? Good move or not?

I think it was the best move they could possibly do and I'm glad that the team is being so transparent with the community about their decisions. What's also interesting is their partnership with Civic, which is explained in the video, that will come in effect later on.

And to top it all of, the price action is been amazing these last few days, even though EFX isn't tradable on any 'big' exchange. I know that the priority will obviously always be the development of the project, and that's great, but I feel like getting listed on more popular platforms would help to spread the word about Effect.AI

Strong move, gutsy move. The funny thing is (to me at least) that even if Amazon would try to implement blockchain, they'd still would make their 'service' so much cheaper and their turker fees so much higher, that I don't think blockchain really makes a difference for them. Effect.AI has this and more, with their low fees and high revenue for turkers, it will be an easy choice...especially when big names like Lobster and more have their AI jobs done through Effect Force. Get wealth to where wealth is needed...not more wealth so 1 guy can be the richest man on the planet

It's a great move for decentralization. Amazon partnership meant death of this tech to some extent. We have seen large centralized companies doing that a number of times. Now, with individual success of Effect.ai, it would attract much more projects in the field challenging the monopoly of large tech conglomerates.

I absolutely agree with the decision of the heads of the company Effect. If they started cooperation with Amazon, then they would be very much restricted in everything. Now the company Effect has complete freedom of action and direction of its developments.

of course they have thought about this and have other reasons to refuse this partnership, whatever the decision is only the developer who knows and as the holder of the EFX I support whatever his decision.

They started this to compete with Amazon, so why would they sell out to the company that they want to disrupt? Amazon is

exploiting people with high fees and they saw that and they want to stop that. We might see a lot of other industries losing

some profit too. {Fiver being one of them, because they stopped accepting Bitcoin}    Just shows you, if you go up against

Bitcoin, then you should expect some pushback from that community.

I have another question too? if there was a communication about partnership with it and why amazon doesn't give any reaction about that? it seems like the developer is ignoring amazon because they are seeing the potential of the crypto currency in the future. we will see more about that.
