Recently there are a few coins forking off on 144,5 algo, however, it's likely the wrong time of year to be mining this, considering the power GPU's will pull and the temp which they will reach... I have been talking with a few people having troubles with temperatures on their GPU's and decided to share this simple how-to...

Summer is for lyra2rev2!

If you want to mine lyra2rev2 coins using AMD GPU please see this how-to...
It is using Vertcoin developers release of lyclMiner (much thanks and tipped hats to you guys) and it's very power efficient, producing a good hashrate on your AMD cards. (For Nvidia cards just use ccminer.)

example lyra2rev2 coin pool link below (HDAC)

Install lyclMiner on Ubuntu 16.04 to use AMD GPU.

Code:
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
git clone https://github.com/CryptoGraphics/lyclMiner.git
sudo apt-get install libcurl4-openssl-dev libssl-dev libjansson-dev opencl-headers
cd lyclMiner
wget https://github.com/premake/premake-core/releases/download/v5.0.0-alpha12/premake-5.0.0-alpha12-linux.tar.gz
tar -xvf premake-5.0.0-alpha12-linux.tar.gz
./premake5 gmake
cd build
make
cd ..
rm -r premake-5.0.0-alpha12-linux.tar.gz
mv kernels bin
cd bin
./lyclMiner -g lyclMiner.conf
nano lyclMiner.conf

# amend your pool info in the config file and ctrl X to save it#

screen -dmS DAC ./lyclMiner

Summer temperatures should not effect your mining rigs that much... All effective cooling systems have one thing in comming: They are great at removing the hot air. Its not about adding cold air, its about removing the hot air.

i have trouble every year on account my rigs are in the top floor of my flat, the only place i can run them - the sun beats down on the felt roof and the room just circulates hot air.
i had 20TH/s of ASICS in 2012 running in a garage but that garage is no longer accessible to me.
this little how-to should help some, and i've found the lyra2rev2 coin i'm mining to be pretty profitable, considering the current market.

So what you saying is basically if you not using your fridge during winter time to keep meat in "eatable condition", just using a cooling fan over it outside, you can do the same thing during summer time when its over 100F outside and your meat not going to be spoiled ?? bc you have a "effective cooling system" during winter time ?

Summer heat is the most problems of all the miners, Including hosting facilities ... If the ambient air temp is getting hotter, your mining rig is pulling more power, more stress on all your mining equipment, your hashrate can be lower if you can not keep your rig in the ambient " winter time temp" Smiley

All effective cooling systems have one thing in comming: They are great at removing the hot air. Its not about adding cold air, its about removing the hot air.

The removed hot air need to be replaced with " fresh air " . There is a big different if that "fresh air" temp is 20F or over 100F Smiley
