Hey guys,

I don't often post about this, but recently there was an article from Bloomberg talking about Iceland and how they are making a revolution, but I don't really see it! They talk about how Bitcoin data centers can help Iceland move forward and create value.

Have a read at the article I wrote in response, and answer this question:

Why is mainstream media so lazy to research and understand blockchain technology before creating shit-posts like that?

Also, do you agree with the points that I'm making in the article?

https://www.crypto-news.net/what-the-fk-do-they-know-about-blockchains/

Looking forward to hear some responses

That's because mainstream media is about who can report first. Journalistic integrity and ethical standards are thrown out the window in favour for vague and/or misleading headlines that pull in viewers/readers for ratings, just to be presented with poor journalism. Part of that is because of increase in the availability of information on the internet. Anyone can search on google, find some information on a topic , and then right a shitty opinionated article.

Here's an article about Kraken criticizing the media.

https://cryptobriefing.com/bloomberg-schooled-tether-kraken/

If journalists did their job well that is, fact check their work, then there wouldn't be so much skepticism about cryptocurrencies. Are they just intimidated by the fact that crypto people are indeed intelligent? I wonder what they'll be reporting when that day comes where one of these coins actually becomes a virtual currency and replaces cash.

for the same reason why you decided not to post the thing you wrote here but instead post it on a news site and link it here so people click and read it.
it is a business and just like any other business the goal of it is to earn more money so they always first focus on publishing something that is read more and generates them more traffic and more revenue and in 90% of the times they turn into writing nonsense clickbaits.

True, now a lot of nasty and vague news that comes up, they are not the same as those who are pursuing real commercials. For the sake of a high rating now a lot of Hoax news and garbage news is circulating, sometimes troubling and misleading.
