I think it's a good option to hold eth, but I prefer to hold bitcoin for long-term investment because I think it's more profitable. and for eth I think it would be better if we use it for short-term investments. but it all depends on each person.

Both of the coins sit at the top of the crypto pile and have done for some time. The value of them is also pretty closely linked and they tend to move up or down at the same time. As I like to spread risk around I continue to hold both of them but I do also use ETH for any ICO investments I make whereas I simply Hold my Bitcoin.

if I think for now ethereum still has one of the best technologies for the future, this is also the best performing coin last year, but if in my opinion will not have any problem if we aqkan holding ethereum for long term because the future of ethereum is very bright , I believe that if the government will adopt cryptocurrency, ethereum will be the first coin used, because ethereum will continue to be beside bitcoin.

Lots are currently comparing about ethereum and bitcoin. Moreover the position both in the market are also very tight. in terms of sales, I think the ethereum master on this year. While the bitcoin seems unremarkable it's movement.

Both are not comparable one to each other. Bitcoin with its protocol is aiming the different way than ethereum. Ethereum has been aiming to get the mass tokenization again. You can see that about how the majority of people are discussing about both of coins on various place. Ether is focusing on the smartcontract.

Many people out there don´t believe that Ethereum can be a long term hodling, they simply use it participate in ICOs, sell and buy bitcoin again with the profit. Do you think that may change this year and ethereum can be seen as the choice to hodl?

I prefer bitcoin because soon the price of Bitcoin will come back so from that I prefer Bitcoin and hopefully, it can be profitable quickly and can return to a stable price because bitcoin decreased already a few months ago

this is not a competition, bitcoin and ethereum are in their respective positions. differentiation, different usage. in both markets almost have the same market, but bitcoin still has a higher value.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are one of the best crypto so far and both are have highest value but Bitcoin still has higher value to all crypto, that's why many lots of people are choose each of them because of being both valuable and profitable. The difference if this two crypto is the price because Bitcoin is too expensive while the price of Ethereum is cheaper. Bitcoin is expensive because the supply is limited only but its has higher demand, while Ethereum has unlimited supply and also have higher demand that's the reason why there price is have difference.

This facts should be consider when choosing between the two, both already gain a lots of exposure but chances to have much bigger value still with btc, with limited supplies and much larger audiences who already have an idea how things works inside crypto and how they can used and benefits this coins, though with people around crypto world ETH seems to have a lots of uses as well since its been used as a platform better to research deeper when starting investing.

personally i think if ethereuem if with pos it will be more scarce and worth hodling more than bitcoin smart contract functionality and a huge developers intrest will pay off in the future

I think cryptocurrency initially exists for transactions, where people complain about transactions that have expensive costs and must be with other parties, now cryptocurrency is used as an asset and the user even grab who is eligible to hold. whether or not it is used as an asset depends on the respective thinking, in my opinion bitcoin is more deserve to be hold.

10 months ago there was only ever a mention of bitcoin. Currently, mainstream journalist are all writing "what´s the next bitcoin" pieces that usually include 5 alts - Eth always one of them. It´s easy to see how this will shift when more and more Dapps launch and people learn that most of them run on Ethereum. I predict we will see a shift in the focus of news reports on Ethereum just as we saw with Bitcoin in 2017. Why does that matter? I will drive the price up like we saw happen with BTC in 2017 and it will make Ethereum the hottest thing to talk about.

I think you do not need to contrast bitcoin to Ethereum, because these two coins have different purposes and perform different functions. It does not matter what coin has a big capitalization, the main thing is that the cryptocurrency market continues to develop.

no it won't change because ETH is not designed that way.

it is a token that should only be used to fuel the smart contracts not even as an investment let alone be anything like bitcoin which is a currency.

and in the end no matter what, ETH still has an unlimited supply with a huge amount of it already in circulation which is always dumping it downwards in the long run.

buying these two coins when the price is so affordable will be very nice and easy to improve the development for much more increase again. so it is very profitable to buy these two coins. both have interesting developments. so it's good to have both and support even further.

both of these coins do have such an increasing development. so as to be able to generate much greater profits by having both of these coins. other than that with the ability of these two coins to become the mainstay coins in the future will make this coin so expensive in the future.

Most of people here in crypto are comparing or compete altcoins to bitcoin and the other wants to see the coin that would replace to the king. We all know that ethereum has a great potential with the excellent performance in the market, we don't need choose one between ethereum and bitcoin because the wise decision is choose both.

If you want maximum results in the long run you can hold bitcoin because bitcoin is still king in unia cryptocurrency. But ethereum is not as good as bitcoin. Therefore I still hold the coin in bitcoin.
