Etherscan is a Block Explorer and Analytics Platform for Ethereum, a decentralized smart contracts platform. And it is founded by Matthew Tan.

I like your topic, it gave me some research to do and I found out both are owned by two different people.
Matthew Tan owns Etherscan.
Vitalik Buterin owns Ethereum.

Although, etherscan is ethereum based, it does not depict that it is owned by ethereum, or better still Vitalik. Instead, it was developed by some blockchain experts, who found the need for it.

Exactly. There is no official owner of this platform. We have several analytical pages available on the market.
