Brother turning on brother, sister on sister. A second American civil war? How could this even be a possibility in our modern, civilized times?

The answer is all around you. Tensions run high and hatred seethes from the mouths of pundits on the MSM, both from the radical left and the far right. Neither are willing to give an inch, in fear of losing a mile. Neither are willing to back down.

This tension has resulted in a boiling pot of politics within America, that at any moment could spill over and upturn the entire system.

Don't think this is possible? Well, don't count it out...

I do not think the article is too far off. I like when he stated:

"I blame the MSM, and the proliferation of social media echo chambers in large part for this isolation of beliefs and proliferation of fearful propaganda. They have become nothing more than click bait propaganda outlets, caring little for the ramifications of their actions."

Platforms like Google, Youtube and Facebook are promulgating this divide. They use their algorithms to limit the content you see to push a narrative, whether it is one you agree with or not. It creates this space where people are surrounded with like-minded individuals and where radical ideas can easily be pushed and more dangerously unchallenged. False or misleading news reports are 'shared' or reposted without any repercussions or challenge because when you pander to a base that thinks the same, they blindingly follow.

We need more groups similar to the intellectual dark web, where intellectuals are challenging each other to explain or defend their view points in a civil educated manner. It is a group of people with various views on religion, politics, economy and a variety important topics.

Could we be on the verge of another civil war? Possibly, but only the Right knows how to properly use guns.  Wink
