the effort to put something like this on going is pretty cool but i;m not sure of it's potential Of course it has potential. The system is so corrupt and the big publishers make the most of the research. They end up selling articles for 50$/piece, while the authors, nor the reviewers get anything in return. Have a read through the whitepaper so you get a better grip on the unparalleled potential this project has. $50 fees for an article?? Gosh, that's a business

For a new project you have a very strong concept. I can't see why Scienseroot wouldn't succeed!

Wait, only institutions will be able to fund science?
No, everyone who wants to. Institutions and universities will be encouraged to stake coins in order to sustain the network That's a relieve! So any amount will do?DO you have a min limit?

To "store article on the blockchain", as written in the ANN, is a quite challenging task - since articles occupy a real lot of space? How big would the blockchain be after one year?
To minimize the space used the articles will be hashed and only the hash will be stored on the blockchain So there will be no limitation for the number of articles?]

The Scienceroot has many promising implementation options. Not only the basic tool for scientific community, the concept can be braoden to fund startups as well.

I think there must be at least a few big funds to partner with the platform in the beginning.

Why do you need to reward the reviewers? And how can you guarantee a fair work from them?
Review takes up to 6 hours and is currently done for free by fellow scientists, we believe that everyone's time is valuable and needs to be rewarded. That is why we aim to use a part of the article processing charge to reward reviewers. You're right. The time and labour got to be valued and payed.

the effort to put something like this on going is pretty cool but i;m not sure of it's potential The scientific system is hurting, during our conferences and discussions with the scientific community we received a lot of support to develop such a platform. So this idea is like in the air? In this case the community will jump in to start using the new opportunities.

Usually the scientific projects need to have any commercial implementation to be funded. Is it so on the ScienceRoot?

If only the commercial projects get funds, the science won't develop in the long run…

Do you collaborate with other scientific funds or companies?
Yes we already discussed the implementation of blockchain into the scientific community with granting agencies and institutions. What's the benefit for the funds? I see that the scientists will prefer to optimize the work using the platform. But the funds?

Yes there are and we are already in discussion with some of them but our current development focus lies on the collaboration platform and afterwards we move toward the funding platform.
