Hello cryptocurrency gods, I've recently found cryptocurrency and have been blown away by the potential. I would like to start using cryptocurrency in my classes and have an idea for my students. I need an altcoin...that is completely pre-mined. Don't have a lot of money (i am a teacher)...but you would get full credit. My project is kind of unique and i'd love your input...and perhaps even a teach a lesson to my class. If money is the only way I can get this done...then i'll figure a way to make payment. I was hoping on someone's generous nature. Figure there is a lot to learn from what's happening now...and who knows...im sure a few more will catch the bug and thank me later. Please contact me for the exact specifications (number of coins...etc) Post on here...or email me...doesn't matter. thanks, contact me at chadorlich27@gmail.com

looked at it...was trying not to support what they are about...we need innovation, not more coins. Also I did check a few out and it's more concerned about hashrate then just giving me 100 percent premine. I'm trying to teach about economics...im raising entrepreneurs here...not miners. There is enough competition for miners as it is.

I understand but for the purposes of teaching a class I think they are what you are looking for. You could design it so that all of the coins payout in one block, that you, yourself mine. This effectively eliminates mining and gives the entire supply to you. The equivalent of a 100% premine.

Drop Me a PM with the coin specs would be glad to give you a hand. The downfall of coingen is it doesn't let you give random blocks , specify difficulty retargets etc etc there's so many. You can premine the entire amount of coins at one go. Cheers! Soopy

if you start an crypto(alt)coin you will need at least one miner that would record transactions in your network. even if you'll not motivate your clients to mine new coins you probably still need to prevent them from mining to rise your difficulty and then abandoning mining leaving you in a trap (not able to mine new blocks due to high difficulty). either by preventing them from mining completely or by running own (asic?) miner yourself (read a usb stick not suitable to mine bitcoins but powerful enough to scare way students with graphic cards).
with 100% pre-mine you run into distribution problem, how will you give the coins to participants? do you also want a coin faucet giving them away for email/page visit?
how do you plan to keep the network alive if no one is mining? where will students fetch the blockchain?
