I`m considering writing my own Block Explorer to gain some experience with Bitcoin network communication. This is why I`d like to ask all of you - is there any functionality you would like to see in a block explorer that is not yet implemented in http://blockexplorer.com/ ?

You should implement a firstbits address directly into the blockexplorer page for each Bitcoin address.

You can see these at bitcoincharts, but another source would be good.

Okay, thanks for your suggestions, definitely will think about those when implementing the block explorer.
