I think every trader who's clever already definitely has a goal like the OP said, besides getting profit from trading activities (selling/buying) they also have plans to gain profits in other ways namely by investing their funds from the benefits obtained from trading activities.

Benefits obtained from bounties and airdrops is also other way to gain profits, using it to buy some altcoins or invest it in trading. The profits that you gained in this activities would be use to invest again and diversify to gain more profit.

i think this is a  great strategy to ensure minimal losses but only the brave can do that as any bad move for small investors can be detrimental. So only act once you thought it twice and with real evidence backing up your actions because its so easy to just go.

For me, YES. Specially when you are a swing trader or day trader. You always keep in your mind is PROFITS. And there are also some reasons, why you "sell some" and why will you "hold some", maybe when you will "hold some", you believe in their project for long term.

My wife is trying now to day trade, she says she puts 305 of her profits in Tether, 30% in Bitcoin and then 30% in coins of her choice, but first she says she has to pay herself. When she has paid herself for the week, then she does what she does with the rest, if she has any profits that is. Now the bounty section is getting very dry in some areas so she is focusing more on day trading her little bag. We lost most of our portfolio value holding so she said with what's left we needed to change our underlying strategy. Of course in this bear market situation it is good to have money to buy all the good coins cheap and hold long term but we have to live also.

Yes, every coin price decreased a lot in the market and this makes us think negative about the market. Don't lose your hopes because this year it might be not possible to increase the prices but next year it might be possible to increase the prices. So always be patient instead of panic about the market.

i can suggest buying bitcoin and eth they are the best coin for invesment as of now since the market is down and many are saying that the price will comeback this year then this is the best time to invest to those coin you can invest also with the alts but expect that the return is not that much and there is no specific time in the market to have a good value for that coin.

These three method are very good when it comes to crypto currency trading.
The question still remains,what do i stand to get if i hold?
Is a what I am holding a long term investment?
Did i buy the coin i want to hold high or low?
First and foremost,holders of particular coin or token especially those that accumulated a coin with a great fundamental plus small market cap tend to make 5 times of what they bought.
The question is,when would a traders sell some?

That is definitely a perfect strategy, as far as I am concerned. You sell some and hold some, so that you won't regret when the price spikes or slumps. Well at least, whatever happens in the market, you will not end up losing and crying. You will just manage to break even, neither gaining profit nor incurring losses.
