Was it shut down after only a week? How's that possible? How did the govt. become this effective? Usually it takes weeks, months and even years for any investigation to reach a stage where services are actually shut down and owners are jailed.
Public Prosecution Service spokesman Wim de Bruin said in a statement: "We will share more information later this week."
Bruin refused to say how the hidden website had been seized or if anyone had been arrested.
It could also be a false-flag operation, scaring others from attempting to make such a market place, and also this is a 'good' way of collecting information about anyone who orders stuff through such a marketplace...
But I also heard a story about Dutch secret police going on national TV and warning against Bitcoin very early on, scaring the average citizen, explaining that Bitcoin can be used for all kinds of nefarious purposes.
There might as well be an agenda to all of this, and even if 'arrests' are made, do we think it is impossible for law enforcement to produce arrestees that are paid or coerced into acting as the bad guy?
I don't know all the details, but if it is true that it was shut down after just one week of operating, that's the kind of effectiveness that's unheard of for public law enforcement.
