ethereum is the best altcoin. When compared to another altcoin this may indeed deserve to be King. But if compared with bitcoin then certainly still very much quality and overall bitcoin are King of crypto. even the ethereum no the slightest opportunity to be able to compete with it.

personally i think there still other altcoin better than ethereum.maybe ethereum be the king ico because thier platform.but their network often in trouble.

I know people who think that ether is the best one and it will rule the market soon. To my mind, this may happen but not sure it will be soon in the nearest future. To my mind, it is better to use btc now and ether for the long-term hold

yes Eth is the medium of transaction in crypto. It is only second to BTC. I think It will remain its position further with some competition from other emerging coins. Eos and stellar also giving good competition to eth. We can see what will happen in the coming years.

well, all i can say is with ethereum popularity right now, it's quite true. but the fact that ethereum can't even keep up with bitcoin uptrend is quite dissapointing. ethereum is used by so many ico but still crashing with any other altcoins

This is true because Ethereum platform was commonly used by most of the ICOs to support their project tokens and that is why MEW is become famous too which means that they trust Ethereum as it was the most convenience to use too because of its ERC20 standard. Ethereum will become more famous to ICOs if Vitalik Buterin will become successful to improve the transaction speed of up to 1million per seconds in which it will become totally a user friendly to all Crypto enthusiast.

I agree, ethereum is indeed worthy to be called the king of altcoins. Bitcoin dominates the market with 50% more, followed by ethereum around 15%, it shows that ethereum is still strong and still worthy of being the king of the ICO.

somehow true because all icos were dependant to ethereum blockchain, without it, they cant continue their ico this is why ethereum will not go down that easily especially in this bear market.

My answer is always bitcoin will always beat all. this is due to, “because Bitcoin is king/queen, and the other coins are at best following it.

It is hard to come up with a fundamental algo with which to price coins, so coin prices just follow Bitcoin as a sort of gold standard (“the Bitcoin Standard”).

It is the number one coin, and thus it is the coin that decides the market price in general.

If there is another standard way of changing ALTs to other currencies example to FIAT. it would much less affected to the price of BTC.

Ethereum being used by most ICOs is both positive and negative on its reputation. Many of the projects are good and promising but many are also just vaporware and some even are becoming inactive.

I also think so, but there are some drawbacks for ETH, because projects can massively sell their ETH and this can affect its price (significantly lower it). Recently, there was information that the price of ETH dropped so low, precisely because of this reason.

ETH is a very undervalued currency at a given time which has fallen very low in the market and it will be very hard for her to take her place
