I've watched a video (currently looking where I saw that video) that defines the difference between cryptocurrency and ICO. I believe ETH and every coin in CMC is now considered Cryptocurrency and those who are still on crowdfunding stage and haven't released in the market is called ICO. We can say that Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and Ethereum is the king of altcoins but both are classified as cryptocurrency. Right now, the value of ETH is already below $200 and I hope that ETH will still be the king of altcoins in a few months/years.

yes I really agree. Ethereum is the king of ICO because he is the platform most widely used by developers and almost all projects use it. eth is also an altcoin that has a large trading volume

Agree , It is the team who worked in the result of ethereum to become a very successful token. Every ICO can be possibly attain what ethereum do , It is just depending on the work that the team do and the success they are having on their work. Many tokens now are climbing really fast into the top 10 altcoins but the competition is really strong.
