Hi All
I have a gigabyte 990fxa ud3 mb and i have 6 cards connected to it. Two are on powered risers 1x. 4 of the cards work fine but two have an exclimation on them in device manager. Seems that when all are connected the two on the 1x powered risers are detected in windows but wouldn't start. I have tried reinstalling the drivers but no luck. I get the error above. I looked through the forums here but non of the solutions offered worked.
The cards are 3 280x, 2 270x and 1 270. I am using two 1000w power supplies and have balanced the load between the cards and MB. The powered risers are connected. The risers work becaus when I try connecting one card at a time it works. when I Hit card 5 card 1, in the 1x riser reports the error code.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I also tried drivers 13.1 and 13.12 and am currently using sdk 2.8, was using 2.9 before

Thanks

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

This is a known issue with windows 7 and currently there's no fix for it, all you can do is upgrade to 8.1 and you will have only 5 cards working.

With the 270s, you have to use the newer Catalyst driver packs and those newer packs simply do not work well with more than 5 cards, unfortunately.  I know this because i've got 2 5 card 270 rigs that i had planned to make 6.

On both 270 crates, i tried getting 6 up in Win8.1 x64 with the H81 Pro BTC mining board and could not get the 6th card to actually work.  The board / drivers would recognize the 6th card, but error 43 out.   Older driver packs refused to recognize the cards, and the newer Cat. drivers (13.11 betas / 13.12 / 14.1 betas) would not erase the error 43, no matter what i tried.  Uninstalling / manually reinstalling the 6th card selectivly didn't work out either.

All in all, it was a pain in the tail.  I've seen people who get 6 cards up with the latest drivers, but they are using *nix / BAMT etc.

I have one 270 and one 280x connected to the 1x ports and those are the ones that error out when all 6 cards are connected. They work fine otherwise. I am not familiar with Btam but I may have to start looking into it. Hope someone has a solution

Thanks

I only managed to get my 6xR9280x setup to work on BAMT. Had to give up on Win8.1.
