So, obviously there is a lot of bounties out there that are not that great, some of them are really good, but some of them just scams.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4419196.0

I just found this project, and it has some things that worry me.
First bad sign was a "guaranteed prize pool of 700k USD for bounty participants".  No project can realistically guarantee a prize pool that big.
Started to dig a little further and took a look at their reddit presence https://www.reddit.com/user/1apayment/ (basically non-existent)
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIJMXVm3bqn5SK9PvGXxqkQ - Youtube channel is very primary.
After taking a look at their team, it pretty much closed the deal for me.  I can't prove beyond a doubt that it is a scam, but everything adds up.  I'm not saying that I've proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is a scam, but I want to open a conversation to see what people think about this, and to see what kind be done about this kind of thing.

Anyways, I am wondering if there is a better place I could have posted this, or how else to deal with this.  In my opinion it is important to keep the message boards clean, and to get rid of projects that don't deserve attention.  Is there a system in place to deal with this sort of thing?  If so, what is it, and can low reputation individuals such as myself contribute?

Scam Accusations section is the right place to report scam bounty campaign and ICO project Smiley.

You just need to create a new thread in this section to report but don't forget to read first to get the right report form Smiley. But IMO I think $700k for a bounty campaign is not something really big cause there are so many bounty campaigns spent number of token worth millions dollars for bounty hunters Smiley

Okay right on, thanks for the redirection.  If a moderator would like to close this topic, I think that would be appropriate.  I apologize for the misdirected post.

Look, you shouldn't throw around accusations like that. I mean, I actually agree most ICOs out there are pretty ridiculous, but I've definitely seen for myself especially from some of the bounties managed on this forum, bounty pools exceeding that 700k total. In fact, I've seen bounties distributed above $1 million plenty of times (usually because the ICO distributed around 2% to bounties and they raise hard cap of above $50m).

It's not very helpful to just label everything a scam, without real evidence. It's just about as bad as shilling.

There are many bonus campaigns with bonuses of more than $ 700k, and it still pays participants serious bonus when the ICO project succeeds after selling the ICO. Because there are so many ICO scam projects, pulling bounty campaigns does not produce results for participants losing their trust.

I think 60% of ICO projects are ridiculous. They offer unambiguous projects, aggressive bonuses to entice investors

When you participate in the bounty You can immediately delete and blacklist a project that asks you to join the telegram airdrop group. I think this is about 30%. Perhaps there are exceptions, but I have not yet seen Grin

are you sure of your opinion.? if you think it's really a scam project, make your report in the Scam Accusations section. but if you do not have real proof do not waste your time, because the amount of 700k USD as reward bounty is not too big so it can not be a reference to judge a project is a scam, so I suggest if you want to create a report in the Scam Accusations section you should include more complete evidence

First bad sign was a "guaranteed prize pool of 700k USD for bounty participants".
If you'll visit again the thread, it says on the title that the bounty pool is worth $2,000,000.

I can't prove beyond a doubt that it is a scam, but everything adds up.  I'm not saying that I've proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is a scam, but I want to open a conversation to see what people think about this, and to see what kind be done about this kind of thing.
Prove something first before accusing though I understand your part with the huge money they are promising but they aren't the only bounty that do this.

Anyways, I am wondering if there is a better place I could have posted this, or how else to deal with this.
Discuss this thing on their ANN thread or to Service Discussion (Altcoins).

I you would want to avoid scam bounties then you should learn self regulation and it is the key to success in the crypto industry, whether you do bounties, hodl, trading or mining. If it is specific to bounties then you should evaluate the campaigns along with the ICO project and if you are already in a bounty you should find indicators that it is a cam be daily checking its update and community.

I think that possible frauds from specific ICO teams should be discussed, even if there is no full certainty that this project is fraudulent. Other persons may find additional information and doubts will be confirmed or dispelled. In my opinion, this forum was created to discuss, including these issues. This will also be useful for the prevention and control of fraudulent ICO projects.

Having more knowledge about bounty can get rid of scam bounty campaign. Understanding all the available traces that guides you to choose a good bounty that has a chance to win in future. Studying platform and whitepapers of a particular bounty gives you an assurance to find a legit Bounty and to avoid scam ICO or bounty campaign.

I think that the best solution to this issue will be the regulation of ICO projects by the states. The regulation of ICO projects occurs, however, too slowly. It seems that the states intentionally delayed with the decision of the issue of regulating and controlling this process at a time when investors are deceived by fraudsters for millions of dollars. This can be done by states in order to reduce the popularity of decentralized crypto currency.
