Nowadays, being practical is the best strategy for me. Just buy a small house and lot then the rest is investing in bitcoin to gain more profit before investing again some real estate property. Bitcoin is the best investment at this moment. You can earn bigger in just a short of time.

I think the best investment is in bitcoin because even if the price is not stable but still you can assure a big profits on it, in the right time. Just hold and wait...

We had a very interesting discussion over the weekend and people debated if it was better to invest in property or to invest in Bitcoin. The argument was as follows :

1. Most people cannot afford to buy property, so they take a home loan at a Bank. The home loan is paid back with interest and some of these loans are spread out over 20 years to make it affordable to the person who takes out the loan. So, over that 20 years the house of $100 000 will cost you say $1 000 000. {$900 000 paid in interest}

The argument is also that the property has to increase in value, with more than $900 000 for you to say that it was a good investment AND you have to sell that property to get that profit.

2. The other side of the room said it was better to rent a smaller property and to invest the "savings" into something like Bitcoin, because your profit will pay for a bigger deposit or even a whole property in a few years time.

I think paying a high interest rate to a Bank is just as bad as paying rent to a Landlord, because you are getting screwed in both these circumstances.  Angry

We all want to live in big houses that we cannot afford.  Roll Eyes

For one, I think it depends on the individual making the investment decision and the amount of information available to such person. Not everyone have access to the same type of information and that is why sometimes some people will make some investment decision and I wonder why take such decision. For me, I would be tilting towards crypto currency in general rather than limiting it to bitcoin because I have seen firsthand how a coin that barely worth nothing at some point ended being sought after in a matter of months. No property investment could bring such returns without repercussions.

However, there are still some things that should not be compromised on and one of them is shelter. Imagine a family of 4 staying in small house under the guise of investing somewhere else. It goes beyond the interest or returns but sometimes the very reason of existence.

Those 2 options to invest in mate are both good but it depends on the people. If you are a risky type of person that gives a little sacrifice, then should go to bitcoin because yes prices are volatile but once it will pump jist a little bit, you will get instant profit. While in properties price are stable, amounts are fixed compared to bitcoin. As what i said, it depends on the type of investor

Bitcoin is still the best choice for investment but it takes a lot of patience.
I think buying bitcoins from borrowed money is not a good way, the risk of losing for bitcoin investments is too great and will give you more costs when you incur losses.
Better to use the money you have and measure your ability to lose capital.

you can not call that an investment. when you take a loan or even without a loan and buy a home where you live in, that is not exactly an investment it is buying something that you use. it is like buying a laptop. you bought it to use not to trade. so it is not an investment even if price of it goes up. you won't sell it anyways.

anyways i think if you can do both then it is the best solution. it is diversification after all and that is always good. and as you pointed out real estate goes up in price specially if you buy it in an up and coming neighborhood.

Both are very good things to invest upon but both of them have also the advantages and the disadvantages for each other. In proporty it would be so hard to get a money to start on it but you can be sure that the price for it would go up as time passes as property would be assessed real time. While bitcoin can be much easier to start upon but it would not have the same assurance that it would still have the value that it has now be higher in the future.

both are good, but for the safer is an investment in property, such as home. because house prices will continue to rise and may not go down. while bitcoin, although it can generate big profits, but the possibility of prices falling dramatically in the near future is also great.

there is always pros and cons to every kind of investment that you choose. it is not possible to say this or that when it come to choosing between two good investments.

in case of bitcoin the pros is that bitcoin is young and when you buy it you become the early adopter of this great currency with a limited supply. in other words there is a huge potential of profit in it.
the cons is that bitcoin is still new and that makes it a risky investment.

in case of property, i say it depends mostly on where you live. for example in my country the price of properly nearly doubled in the past year because of economical problems and the fact that people have been looking for a place to invest their money to "store their value". some places even more than double. so it was a good investment. interestingly enough bitcoin has also been one of the popular choices lately.

I shouldn't invest hugely on bitcoin if I'm not comfortable. At least owning a house is good so you can even get a shelter to rest your head if anything gets wrong.

This only means that it depends on the situation and capabilities of the one investing and his purpose. If the person has a a big amount of money and wants a one time investment with less monitoring then he can go with property specifically land because he can used it depending on his purpose. While if someone has big or small amount of money then he can also go with investing in bitcoin because the returns given by the BTC is unlimited with the right timing. BTC returns may be doubled in just short span of time yet depending on the market/price changes

for now I would be very confident that Bitcoin is a lucrative investment, with improving progress now Bitcoin can be our main investment and I'm sure there is no other investment that can give us a lot of profits as we can get when invest in Bitcoin. Property is one of the best investments, but I think property is a pretty safe investment, but the amount of increase is not too big. For me that now there are only two choices that is whether we want to take risks in order to get a big advantage by choosing Bitcoin or we just silent and did not get anything. it is a choice and I am sure everyone has their own opinions.

At present, bitcoin has got the better potential for investment than real-estate or gold. That's why, people all over the world have been flocking into it. They believe by investing into bitcoin they can get huge profit in a very quick time.

that is a tough choice to be honest. if you don't have the money to buy a house then obviously you are left with smaller investments such as bitcoin and gold. but if you have the money for it then it is  not such a bad idea to buy a house even if it is a small one. there is good potential in that. of course like any other investment you do need to become familiar with its market, you can't just jump in and make profit randomly. that would be a gamble.

There is a FOMO brewing...

the answer is pretty simple. Real estate investment is absolutely safe bet unless there are some very unique circumstances around it. Bitcoin is as risky investment as it gets...

I like that one more.

The thing with Bitcoin and it's massive long term potential is that everything of traditional nature is a waste of time in my opinion. I was seriously considering to convert a chunk of my savings to Gold last year, and then I asked myself why would I do that? Gold won't show any big movements in the forthcoming years, is damn difficult to sell, is damn difficult to spend, etc. Instead, I used the allocated capital to buy even more Bitcoin, and it worked out extremely well.

As long as Bitcoin's potential hasn't been catched up on, I don't see the point of investing in anything else, unless it turns out to be an actually great opportunity.

People are brainwashed to think that real estate is the right way to go, where they completely disregard the fact that parking capital in real estate means you are missing out on everything that's happening in the flashy tech space. Investing in stocks would have been a great option too for people not interested in crypto. Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Tesla; they have done exceptionally well and outperformed the rest of the traditional market.

And btw, thanks for the threads, it's a welcome change with 99% rubbish in this section of the forum. If I had a sMerit left I would have given it to you.

Either of the two is a good investment because you can really earn in both ways. In bitcoin you can earn by making it grow then exchange for a real money that we're using for buying what we want. On the other hand investment in property can also make you earn by renting it to others in exchange of money.

Either way is a good idea for investment but it's owning a property that stands out for me. Well my perception about bitcoin is that it's just a good thing at some times. Unlike in owning a property where you can rent it for others so that you will earn or using it yourself. So for me I will still choose property over bitcoin.

the truth about any investment is that as an investment it has to bring much more than it has been committed to in the near future there by increasing in value and worth and all these descriptions fits the bitcoin much more than the property so i prefer a bitcoin to a property
