I am not sure whether Bitcoin can become mainstream in the next 10 years, But one thing I am sure about is Cryptocurrency will become mainstrean in the next 10 years. The mass acceptance of cryptos has already started, where some countries have already accepted it as one of their legal temders and some are in the process. People in general are now aware of their potential and what benefits they can offer. Slowly and gradually things are changing and for me that is a positive sign.

According to a study conducted by researchers at Imperial College London, cryptocurrency has the potential to become a form of payment that is widely used for decades to come. In their research report entitled "Cryptocurrency: Overcoming Barriers to Trust and Adoption" Professor Imperial College London, William Knottenbelt, and Imperial College Business School Dr. Zeynup Gurguc, argue that cryptocurrency has so far acted as a store of value like a fiat currency.

In the time frame stated more probably it will be the mainstream, but we all know that as something goes on top, there are othrs wanted it to go down, in short more rivals will come and challenge how strong the bitcoin is. But who knows, bitcoin will remain at number one and be on top, even beat the fiat. All we can do is wait amd see, how bitcoin reigns in the next year.

Possibly yes it can become mainstream in the next 10 years, its all about consistency, hence if the price drops at this kind of rate it would be tough for BTC to become mainstream, and I'm not even talking about BTC becoming the world's currency as it lacks on some aspects that I'm sure that it is not yet ready to go on and become the world's currency, but If we are talking about mainstream here then that I am sure BTC has the chance to become.

Yes, it is possible and I think it's earlier than 10 years. We know that Bitcoin has the potential to be a payment method as there were lots of ATMs installed worldwide. So, given the speed of adoption, I won't be surprised to see Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as well, that is widely used for the coming decades, or maybe less than 10 years.

Surely. And it depends on the technological advancements made in individual countries. For some it will be very soon. For others, 10 years is still too soon. But all in all, most of them will accept it as a form of payment

I guess bitcoin would become mainstream on the next two years because it is already established on other countries. If there will be something that becomes popular that time, that would be the altcoins. I still believe that useful coins deserve to have a spot on the future. Lets support them all.

Your prediction may happen if the positive trend of bitcoin continues to grow, by 2018 bitcoin investors begin to increase dramatically. although now there are still some countries that have not legalized bitcoin but that number continues to decrease.
Another 10 years will be the bitcoin year of glory in the global economy.

I think that bitcoin will work as a highly liquid asset for the accumulation and preservation of capital. A new mainstream may be a token of the standard ERC-721. Once in distant 2010-2012 no one thought that bitcoin could grow so much and people bought it only for enjoy of possess it. So, the new standard token 721 can refresh the desire of people to have something special, collectible.

Yep, some of the huge people behind crypto really said that Bitcoin may be huge in the coming long-run. But I will never lower my guard down since Bitcoin is somehow going down.

Ofcourse, Bitcoin will be there in the mainstream for the next 10 years. Bitcoin is a great asset for diversification. It isn't real estate. It isn't the stock market. It isn't like most other assets you're likely invested in. It is variety. Have a look into Bitcoin (BTC) Growth Predictions and crypto currency price forecast based on Total Worldwide Money flowing into the cryptocurrency market.
As of now I think bitcoin is still in the process of making a name for itself. Glad that its users are doing their best to help bitcoin reach that point. We all know that if bitcoin gets popular then it will be a win-win situation for the system itself and the users. Sooner or later bitcoin will be able to get at that point.

Probably to get into mainstream is one of bitcoin's goal ever since it was created. It's starting to make a name for itself and it will be just a matter of time to reach that level. I know that the time will come for bitcoin to be at that point especially the system has the capability to do it. Bitcoin deserve to be at that position so sooner or later it will come.

You would have done a better job if only you had included the source of this information there because by not referencing it, it amounts to plagiarism which is seriously frowned at on the forum that attract the highest form of punishment. https://cointelegraph.com/news/study-crypto-could-become-mainstream-means-of-payment-within-next-decade

That being said, its worthy to acknowledge the extent at bitcoin has gone since coming to existence about ten years ago which no one would have rightly predicted how mainstream it would have gotten ten years later. However, looking at the rate at which the popularity is going, it seems ten years would be short to achieve what was proposed by the research but beyond that, currency adoption goes beyond surveys, sample selections or what some people feels its going happen or what they expect to happen. The important and deciding factor is the people who are ready to push for that to happen and until a consensus is formed around that, I guess the same issue of recognition being talk about today will still be said in ten years from now.

Bitcoin has already become mainstream trendsetter in the hearts of so many people. And there are no second thoughts to this very thing that bitcoin will rule the market in the coming years. AS it is evident from the current highlights of the world that how so many countries are moving towards acceptance of bitcoin. It is this fame of the bitcoin that is taking over the world. Now the time is not too far when bitcoin will be seen as a universal phenomenon. Many economists and scholars, as you stated, are of the opinion that bitcoin is a REVOLUTION and will soon change how the entire system works.

It is very possible that in the future there will be more young people using bitcoin, I believe that in the next 10 years bitcoin will become a mainstream way of payment, credit card payment will be significantly reduced.
