maybe it will happen in the future, we will never know because for now it has not run according to the actual bitcoin function. I think there are many chances from the latest innovations in the future, but most people would prefer to make assets rather than spend them unless bitcoins have a stable value, but that's not possible. |

Maybe next ten years it can be used widely, but i don't think we can guarantee bitcoin will be like that in future and maybe in future many great crypto currency created that can be rival bitcoin. Yes, maybe bitcoin will be in the mainstream but due to technology and the fast rising of cryptocurrencies, maybe also some other crypto will be on the mainstream. That’s our MAYBE. If you are in bitcoin that maybe is for you if you are in other crypto the other maybe is for you. If you are in both maybe you are sucure. If you are not in bitcoin and crypto maybe you are lost. Maybe its better to join now. |

I don't think that Bitcoin will become mainstream.
It's true that the concept of digital money will further develope and take more considerable part in economy but still I don't see Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency as a mainstream although I expect to be stronger and more accepted than now.
Fiat currencies will keep the domination and crypto will continue with struggle for their positive in traditional finances, that is how I see it.

I do not think that bitcoin will find its use as an active payment resource, for example, in online stores and other services. Most likely as a "currency" it will not be used. But as an asset, when forming a financial portfolio, it will definitely get popularization. If don't face any barriers to this, for example, a ban or something like this.

I wasn't aware of any major institutional research on cryptocurrency and its quite nice to see it happening. BTC can become mainstream as its customer base is more or less there. I know that several universities throughout the world do have a blockchain division, which basically goes to show that if the academics think it's worth looking into, then we're onto something. Great research leads to great innovations, so we can expect to see some of those soon enough. |

Big banks are taking notice too. Goldman Sachs (GS) has said it will begin futures trading in bitcoin contracts, a move that should ultimately be good for bitcoin and other leading cryptocurrencies that rely on blockchain.
Volatility may decrease, which isn't great for traders and speculators, but the involvement of Goldman Sachs and other big Wall Street firms is good for the long-term. Bitcoin is down this time, But it still may be the future of money.

I think so too. I’m confident bitcoin or any strong cryptocurrency will go mainstream in the future. But in 10 years, I’m not so sure. Bitcoin is still on its way to become a digital currency and needs a number of improvements to get there in terms of transactions fees and speed. Bitcoin will become a currency when these issues are addressed, along with the price stability, making it suitable for everyday purchases. And society has to actually use it so it can be more than just a store of value, but commodity money as well, correct? |
