I'm still new to all of this but in that chatbox, or what ppl call the troll box, I see from time to time people reference DDOS attacks.  What exactly is this?  From what I found from Googling, a DOS attack on a website is where it floods the website with traffic so it crashes (i could be wrong on this).  I saw a ton of buys & sells on BTC-E for tiny amounts 0.01-0.07, is this what they are talking about?

Piggy-backing off that question, what is the benefit for someone to do this?  What is the negative effect it has for people trying to legit trade on there?

Google it more...it's not a lot of buys and sells...it is attacks on the website itself.
