How much of a hash rate difference are there between these two cards?

I had a Gigabyte R9 290x OC4GB that I was only getting around 840Kh/s with and then it went dead.  So if I get a full refund on it then I'd like to stay away from Gigabyte this next time.

I've never trusted the stuff people post to that site.  None of those values worked on my Gigabyte R9 290x.

why would you pay 2X more for the 290x card when it gets only 100khs more then a 280x card which costs 2X less?

Not at all twice the cost.  Configmyrig.com says the 280x gets 600 kh/s and the 290x gets 800 kh/s.
Litecoin info has high values contrasting from 770Kh/s vs 1002Kh/s.

So basically you are incorrect in both statements.

Toxic 280x make 720-750, sometimes more 800 kh/s, so it's definitely better option, but the best one is several 270 )))
