It's odd that when we broke into sub $500 territory on Gox, the other exchanges barely noticed. Now they decide to follow it down. Why?

I have no explanation... Maybe someone more smarter can shed some light on this?

Mt gox is dead, and the other exchanges just see people afraid to buy because they don't know what is going on, worse, they may read the lies in the troll box on btc-e !! Now is a great time to buy, nice discount.

If you believe in bitcoin as most of us do, the strategy is to buy on the way down. If you buy now, and it goes down another 100, buy more. Don't buy all at once, you will have plenty of chances. If you don't believe in bitcoin, like some people who don't belong on this forum, don't bother.

Might wanna change the title to goxcoin.
Also, I think the goxers are selling their stolen coins on the other exchanges. I'm fully convinced this is a giant fraud.

Mt gox is dead
I hope so. There's so many better exchanges out there that have suffered because people are attracted to MtGox because of it's high volume of users. MTGox's screw ups have definitely hindered the progress of bit-coin. That said the fact that people had to wait almost indefinitely to withdraw USD from MTGox failed to kill it, so who knows.

Aren't they just playing it safe waiting for a transaction-malleability fix?

I think since the start the price has always been based off of gox because of their volume of trades, if gox goes up, everyone buys for more on other exchanges, if it goes down, they follow. If you know the price is going to go up, because of gox, would you not buy on another exchange at a lower price, knowing you will make a profit? Thus making the price on that exchange go up, or down.

I didn't believe that the bid sum on MtGox would drop below 10M$ during this bear market, but it just did. As I write this, the price is still above the December 2013 low of 455$, but I think it will go lower.

Where is it smart to buy?
Bitstamp and Coinbase, I'd say. I like Coinbase. I'm pretty new but could someone tell me why is btc-e always a little cheaper than Coinbase? I am signed up at both but just trying to understand. Is it because one btc-e is an exchange? But what exactly makes it "cheaper"?
