While at it I will repeat my other related post : Could we at least fix our internal link (forum) to reflect the change (site wide replace) I wouldn't expect from all users to go back in time, editing their post, changing any bitcoin.org/smf/ referencesEdit : ...if even bitcoin.it can't bother to do so in a timely manner

Actually, the link on the left that you're complaining about should be linked to bitcointalk.org The en.bitocin.it/wiki/Forums is linked on the main page on the right hand side. At any rate, I've posted it on the talk page. An admin has to do it.

Not it should not, because bitcoin.it is the WIKI linked on bitcoin.org and the the consensus is that there is no primary forum anymore linked on bitcoin.org

I believe Magicaltux runs the wiki. You can find him on freenode in bitcoin-dev.

Not it should not, because bitcoin.it is the WIKI linked on bitcoin.org and the the consensus is that there is no primary forum anymore linked on bitcoin.org I agree that the wiki page for forums is more appropriate especially considering that there are more well-established community forums that are deserving of attention than solely the bitcointalk.org established forum and simply because it was first is not acceptable enough to not account for promoting/spreading awareness of the other forums.

A few days ago I suggested for MagicalTux to change the link to https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Forums but he decided to not link to that page and instead link to http://bitcointalk.org/See https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/MediaWiki:Sidebar where you will notice all links except the forum link are wikified and not direct link to 3rd party website. Perhaps the bitcointalk.org forum site is special because MagicalTux hosts it now and has special interests, whereas comparably MagicalTux does not host any 3rd party IRC server which he could especially link to instead of the IRC wiki page. Personally I think it would be much more communitively helpful to link to all the forums instead of link to a single forum so as to be helpful more so than anything else. But maybe there are other things to be concerned about than helpfulness? ^_^

Market monopolies can be fixed but it is going to take a lot.

Oh the love hate treatment by Bitcointalk by all the people who control it. Just make it officially the community or not please mizery is the shit as usual. If you want to, I think we both compiled the best forum lists possible, merge them! https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bitcoin:Community_portal https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Forums Like I see Anoncoin missing, that person has a more active forum alone versus some with lots of people on them lol
