This is the longest run I have seen where they are pretty much stable at 5 bucks with a little up and down movement but they have been at 5 bucks average for a month now.
Agree?

Nope just because it hovers around $5 for a certain period of time does it make it worth $5 at all. The time window you are looking at are far too narrow, IMHO.

We're not anywhere near term 'stable' but they're worth 5 bucks at the moment =) can we find at least one person who is certain the same rate will be in a month, two, six, etc.? we're not even certain of tomorrow as it can shoot off the charts in either direction at any moment

I prefer the term 'cheap' to stable. Wait for it...

Bitcoins are worth thousands of dollars. We'll see how long it takes for people to realize this

I agree with the OP, if anything it has hit long term support. I've bought in for the first time, 15 BTC initial investment.

I figure if it's a little more stable now, maybe it'll be more useful. Of course, trying to sell a lot of coins at once in such a shallow market isn't going to work very well, so I'm limiting myself to only a handful.

Bitcoins are worth thousands of dollars. We'll see how long it takes for people to realize this I agree with this. problem is I have to give up about 2/3 just to pay the electric I think the very bottom is cost of electricity to produce.. so roughly 3? 3.5?

Looks like nobody is making money off these things due to electricity costs... but Hey! Atleast we are getting expensive video card hardware for free in the end I can see it now... everyone that was into bitcoins now turns into a "Used Video Card Retail Store" LOL

You can already see the effect on prices for used 5850s and 5870s. A local forum where I usually buy my second hand stuff is getting flooded by ex miner cards, and they are going cheap or not getting sold. Im holding off a bit longer, when the real fire sale begins. Then pick up a bunch and hopefully enjoy a profitable few months if BTC price starts to rise and difficulty lags enough.

I like the price range BTC has been sitting in recently. Not too little, not too much.

Help Bitcoins by buying clothes, technology, books, etc. through people/stores that accept BTC. This will increase overall value of BTC as well as mitigate unnecessary bank transaction fees.

Exactly. Look at the last 10 days of July. At the time everyone said that a bitcoin was worth $14.
