actually this is important because if it becomes legal tender in cali then it starts forcing other states and banking institutions to recognize it . and all sorts of companies can use it as cash rather then a product or service.

If only there wasn't a little seriousness to it. Reminds me of those threads that used to pop up saying "WHY CANT I USE BITCOINS IN STARBUCKS". I'm a little weary of corporate influence these days, I would absolutely not empower them further by giving them hard currency for beverages. They'd be getting fiat from the bottom of the penny jar, if that.

Yes, they can. Just not at a federal level. Else we would still be bound to silver and gold. (which would not be bad in any tangible way). It is actually the Federal Government that cannot legally declare legal tender to be anything but gold and silver. The fiat monies we've been beaten down with for the last century are NOT legal by the supposed empowering document of the United States of America.

This is just one of many areas where they OPENLY prove that they have no legitimacy, yet we keep bowing before them...
