Maybe next step backup your wallet.dat file & delete the whole directory and start again. It was a headache for me getting it working too although the old client worked fine. Perhaps the coin dev needs to take a look at it.

You have to delete everything in that folder and reindex the blockchain, just dont delete your wallet.dat

yea that is a glitch in the compile i ran into this when compiling FRK a few times also. If you compile it on a machine it will probably say the right one. I'll get this fixed in the next checkpoint update.
