I have to admit...I am about the closest thing to an economist as probably anybody else in this forum, but that chart does look eerily similar to the average price of Bitcoins over the past few years. Perhaps there is some reasoning behind it, and Bitcoin will continue to follow this trend.
It really is starting to feel like we are in a bubble. All of the news attention lately has been overly negative, and the price has been slowly sliding downward. I'm starting to think that $100 coins may actually happen in the near future...and then a slow climb back up to $1000 over the course of a year or more.
And would that be such a bad thing? I'm holding onto my Bitcoins right now...that said...I have a small buy order at $500 and $300...and a 10 Bitcoin buy order at $120. If this Bitcoin bubble chart is a prediction of things to come...then I WELCOME it! Cheap coins for the true believers who will have a chance to HODL them into the age of slow organic growth. And those who don't take advantage will look back on their last opportunity to buy really cheap coins.

That chart fit perfectly after $32 and after $266. Today we are complaining about $600. |
If you aren't the sole controller of your private keys, you don't have any bitcoins.

Bitcoin is not going to go down
Its just the panic sell or some dramatic creation MtGox want to make.
Because of Gox's withdrawal problem this price is going down specially took effect in Gox only and latter on in other exchanges.
Same as china ban is this shit so no need to panic, Price will be back ro 1K level very soon.

No way, you won´t ever see 1000$/BTC again. Just wait and watch and believe in Crypto Everything is possible. May be you have coins from 1242 so you are in panic situation but i am holding my coins since 13$ so there is no any problem for me but also i am sure very soon we will hit 1K again. |

People can't get BTC out of Bitstamp/Gox, so there would be no point in buying BTC if you can't get it out, therefor everybody is selling. Will go back up once withdraws are back (on Bitstamp at least, Gox is dead)
